Pretty solid angle on this game for me. Green bay just played a full overtime quarter against hapless minnesota on sunday and were able to salvage a tie. Now after playing a full quarter longer they only get 3 days rest and have to play on the road in an early start time game on thanksgiving to detroit.
Although detroit lost to tampa it wasn't because of their defense, or their ability to move the ball. Turnovers plagued this team last week, giving up 5 to tampas zero and still only losing by 3 points. They outgained tampa by a 2-1 margin, and held tampa to 38 yards rushing.
Matt flynn will likely start for the packers, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for lion backers. Sure i watched him lead a comeback on sunday against minnesotas god awful prevent defense, but in overtime when minnesota went back to their traditional defense he did absolutely nothing and was dreadful. This is the same matt flynn who couldn't beat out terrel pryor, jeff tuel, or matt mccloin by the way.
The lions are the better team here, are playing at home, against the packers fourth quarterback of the year. Flynns been with the team a whopping 2 weeks and although he played for them before im sure alot has changed since then. As long as detroit holds on to the ball they should win this game and cover fairly easy. Big ifs i know but i don't expect another four int. game from stafford (2 of those were not his fault, they were drops by wr's that turned into int's. )
