Rams will take them out in revenge game from last year. Mark it down.

Yes i agree the injuries are finally catching up to them. They will not get to the super bowl like most experts thought they would.

We are toast. The defense is playing non-NFL caliber guys everywhere now and there’s no depth.
Losing Montgomery is tough but can be overcome… the defense is just a disaster.
Crazy. Historically good team this year just completely decimated by the injury bug. Super bowls are ridiculously hard to win.

@Cooler999
Campbell is Campbell. He’s consistent with what he does so I can at least respect that from him. Phenomenal overall, but yes some stupid decisions even when it works out

How can he kick an inside with 12 minutes left in the game down 10 and immediately go down 17 and not try another onside kick.
That is inconsistency to me

I love watching the Lions play, win or lose. They put on a good show, nobody can deny that. These injuries on D can't be overcome IMO. I guess the Eagles are the cock of the walk now in the NFC?

@NONEED4LUCK
Tried to steal a possession in a desperate way - how did that work out again? Didn’t love the call but I get it, again they’re playing with multiple guys on defense who are not NFL level guys at this point.
@Buffalobob89074
Not sold on the Eagles either they’ve played a pretty weak schedule overall. Certainly could be the best in the NFC though. One team I think is flying a little under the radar is the Rams. GB is solid. Don’t think Minnesota is a winner in the playoffs. Lions desperately need the bye and home win to hopefully get a few of these pieces back by the NFC championship to have any chance. Not sure they can overcome the loss of Alim though that guy was the heart of the line stuffing the run.

Match ups will be important regarding who moves forward in the playoffs. Detroit is decimated but GB is solid and don’t sleep on the Vikings.
they have the “no one respects us” attitude on the entire team going - Remember when the Lions were healthy that was a very good game in Detroit

Flying under the radar is TB. Nobody and I mean nobody wants to play this team right now. Defense is coming around after tons of injuries. Winfield still out. Offense is lights out. Top 5 running game (which is what you need to move far in the playoffs). Schedule is weak latter part of the season but they’ve beaten some good teams.

Well said. IF they can win the division and get Winfield back for the playoffs, they're dangerous. Baker has elevated his game, his legs are a weapon when he needs them, Mike Evans is still Mike Evans, and with Bucky Irving leading the way, they're running the ball and running it very well. Kudos to the O-line and O.C. They've beaten the Lions, Eagles, Washington, and now the Chargers, and hammered the Chargers OTR. I would say under the radar too but all for naught if they don't win the division.

Montgomery was a luxury, not a necessity. Gibbs is a star and will get a bit more run now, Reynolds change of pace. The offense can still out gun most teams. OL is elite, quartet of high end pass catchers and an elite play caller.
Defense is dicey. DJ Reader and Z’Darius Smith give them a few high end players who will command a lot of attention. But the LBs and CB room have taken massive hits. They’ve lost 4 of their 5 top LBs now. Not sure if any are going to be back for the playoffs or not. Rodriguez is out for the year I know that. They still have 2 high end play making safeties. They’ve taken a lot of blows, but they’re still elite and will be a force in the NFC playoff picture.

@HockeyNight11
I just think you kick another inside there. Bills running it back to the five cinches up his underwear around his balls and he forgot who he was. That’s all I’m saying. I like Detroit. But it’s probably going to be an AFC SB Champ. Bills are going to have to come to KC and beat them to go win it all this year. I think that’s a possibility.

I didn’t read anything after this sentence. Having two back who can move the ball is great for playoff football. What if Gibbs goes down now? Defense is the problem.

If it’s and but’s were berries and nuts and then every day would be Christmas. Dumb counter argument. Not even worth my time discussing because you clearly didn’t comprehend the point.

I agree... the defense is dicey and the Achilles heel at this point for DET. You can maybe make up for the loss of a star running back like Montgomery with their elite offensive line, but the defense is totally exposed. It's hard to see how DET makes a serious playoff run, unless some of these guys can come back.

I'm curious how DET will come out against CHI this week.. I know MCDC is trying to fire up the troops with the motivational talk, but I wonder just how much of an emotional toll the loss of all these players (and not necessarily the loss to BUFF last week) will have on the team this week... We'll know in the first 5 minutes of the game IMHO..
