Yes I know that the Steelers and the Browns are in the same division. Yes I also know that the Ravens and Bengals are also in that division. But we have seen how incredibly unpredictable the NFL can be. I just can't see Pat & the Chiefs three peating (especially with all the offseason losses). SF could be back and could very well win it but note three of my five teams listed are in the AFC. Yes Seattle is in the same division as SF but they are one Brock Purdy injury away with Seattle being in the drivers seat.
Those are strictly my picks at value. Thoughts?

By long shot I mean 30 to 1 or better.
Here are the teams I am looking at:
Jets +3000
Steelers +4500
Browns +5000
Seattle +8500
Saints +9500

I took Atlanta 40/1 right before Cousins signing & also have NYJ 30/1.
Hard for me to get behind Atlanta. Especially now with a possible QB controversy but dude you got great value. I am really strongly considering the NYJ at 30 to win. BOL!

"Yes I know that the Steelers and the Browns are in the same division."
The point is their quarterback situations, not what division they're in. Pittsburgh: Wilson, Fields, Allen. Browns: Watson, Winston, Huntley. Where do you see value in that???

I actually don't mind their QB situations to be honest. A very talented starter and backup. Could there be a QB controversy that kills the team. Sure. But there are long shots for a reason my man.

Sneed, Townsend, Gay Jr., but the resigning of Jones was 100% critical. We will see. NFL is a tough grind. If they three peat all I have to say is put them in the HOF already. That would have to be one of the toughest things to do in sports.

Are you saying Wilson is a talented starter? When the Seahawks made it to BB super bowls it was in spite of Wilson, not because of him. And the numbers back that up.

When that team made it to BB super bowls they we're a running team first and foremost. They finished 2nd in rushing attempts and 31st in pass attempts in 2013 and 1st in rushing attempts and 32nd in pass attempts in 2014. Run first. Pass later. I tried to make this argument on another site to fade the 49ers in the Super Bowl because they finished 32nd in pass attempts in 2023.

What numbers of Wilson were so bad or ineffective that they won in spite of them? Just because they had a great running back and defense does not mean he was not great as well. That simply shows a team's gameplan and/or strengths. The inference you make is they would have done better or, at least as well, with their backup or any random QB. It just means that their team did not need Wilson to throw every down. That does not mean he was not a talented starter.
I get your point that they did not rely on him as some pass-first teams rely on their QB but I would go back and look at Wilson's numbers and how very effective he was when he needed to be and when the team needed to rely on his passing.

Long Shot Superbowl Odds I Like... Well, I'm no pro, but I'll keep an eye on teams with strong underdog potential like the Cardinals and Raiders. Betting on these teams could lead to a big payout if they make a deep run!

The Steelers really strengthened themselves in the draft. Vastly improved the oline ( OT Fautanu and C Frazier) and the pickups of more Wilsons, slot receiver Roman and ilb Payton were great picks. If Payton Wilson can stay healthy he might be another Jack Lambert with even greater speed (4.4/40).
Steelers had a great draft last year and if Russ can pick his spots and have the time back there for his reads downfield that offense could easily get back on track. Their two headed monster of rbs Harris and Warren can give them the balance that they need.
The only weakness on the team might be that they lack another quality wide receiver. Another question mark might be cornerback Donte Jackson acquired in the Diontae Johnson trade. Second year CB Joey Porter jnr looks like the real deal.
If I bet a future, it will be the Steelers.
