Good luck tonight, LC. Staying away. Eyeing the Chiefs next week. They were in a tough spot against the Raiders and the Broncos just have their number.

Geno is an "upgrade" from Vick (and those are the most forgiving possible quotation marks ever used) IN THIS SPOT for one reason:
As stated above, Geno is playing for his life in his final games as an NFL starter. Much like Colt McCoy yesterday, it does help an anemic offense. It wasn't enough for Colt on the road getting 10.5 against a team like the Colts. Compare to 6.5/7 at home vs. the Dolphins here.
Having said that, he is a huge downgrade in the turnover department being the most brutal turnover machine the Jets have ever had (and that's saying a lot). And that is for a team that simply doesn't produce turnovers, the jets being among the worst at forcing them among all teams in NFL history...a lethal combination.
The only pro in that regard was that Geno's last pass was an INT so I expect him to be more mobile tonight and I expect the ground game to step up (like it did for the Giants in the first half yesterday).
Also Geno does not lie down like Vick does. And after The Bills I never want Vick behind center again. So I agree with the change.
Otherwise pound for pound, Geno is a downgrade in terms of talent even at Vick's advanced age.
