Hey van How do you view and account for something like the Jags "performance" last night? I felt they were extremely unlucky and that doesn't happen the next time, all things considered. It's pretty rare you see the blunder after blunder like they had. Not saying Baltimore still doesn't cover somehow - but the Jags had everything bad happen to them last night. On the animal front I am on my second rescued Greyhound and while they definitely have some quirks and rules for that breed, for those that want a typically really easy to deal with animal, id highly suggest rescuing one. Every time he runs in the backyard it's marvelous to watch
Yeah, totally agree on the Jags. Lets not forget the Ravens were up by only 3 late in the 3rd qtr with the Jags having an awful turnover in the red zone, two missed FGs, and a complete F up at the end of the first half.
Thats where a blender for stats is so valuable. The raw stats all get graded on situation, competition, and I even grade plays based on luck factors.
The Jags are way better than the outcome last night. But games like that can kill teams. Will be interesting to see next week at TB.
I love greyhounds. Sweet and gentle, and can be couch and lap dogs too. Not what you would think.
Bookmaker just went to Eagles -4!

Thanks man! I know you've mentioned luck before even referring to the ravens being unlucky, and we know over the course of a season it tends to even out, just not sure when. Looks like last night they finally got some good luck
Ive had dogs My whole life but my current Greyhound is the best dog I've ever had. They don't do "dog things," he's got some food quirks and dumb as a box of rocks, but he's absolutely wonderful. Not a mean bone in his body, is extremely routine, so much happiness, and SLEEPS ALL DAY.
Go Seahawks

I took Philly-3 last night on the assumption Hurts will play, and the fact I hadn’t seen your pick on Seattle yet. Made me sick to see you were on Seattle, as I would much prefer to tail you.
Considering buying out and hitting Seattle now.

Hey Van. Good luck on your bet. Who is starting at QB for the Hawks? Geno's nagging groin issues don't even know if he will be effective if he plays. Love your thoughts on this.

this is a great strategy that I have started using this season. It has absolutely made a difference. I am winning more on my winners and losing less on my losers, great advice.

Some KEY inactive names for SEA on the D side pushed the line up, but I am sure the 4.5 line was pounded, I have 3.5 back at my site after a furry of moves, the SEA ml went as high as +211 and +4.5 at +100

Curious to know when you decide to add another unit. If i see +4.5 i am adding more to my 3.5 Imissed the earlier moves because i was too busy paying attention to OK Man thread
People ask me why I post at covers. That okay man thread is the answer. Hilarious. Where else can I get that kind of entertainment on a Monday afternoon?
I'm not sure I've ever seen a line move like this line. So just on principal, I have added to my original stake. I took five and a half for another unit, but I'm not advocating that because I do not have this graded as a four unit game. At 3 and 1/2, I have it as 3 units, and at four and a half and higher 3 and 1/2 units.
But your premise is 100% correct, the price and the line dictate the unit sizes. Very often I post a two-unit game at a current line that I actually have three units on at an earlier better line.
It is a big mistake to handicap a team independent of a line and a price. The line and the price dictate the stake.
Good luck tonight

Yeah man, that thread was something special I'm glad to be back around again just because of things like that - though it might have cost me money missing the line move
