Bills offense stats this year have come against some suspect defenses. Jags, Ravens, Cards, all bottom third in the league.
Allen had (arguably) his worst stat day ever vs the Texans, a top 5 defense and were on their way to being shutout until Houston started to coast. You can debate in the Dolphins game that Buffalo's offense was held in check as well (outgained by over 100 yds, 33% on third down conversions).
Josh Allen is averaging 189 yds through the air so far this year. Take out the Jags game (everybody puts up big numbers against that tire fire D) and Allen is 170 yds per game. Not exactly electrifying numbers...
Rodgers is no different either. The Jets are a team lacking cohesion on the offense and they don't exactly put the fear into any defense at the moment.
Take away Josh's running ability tonight (he's hurt) and what does Buffalo have offensively that the Jets won't be able to handle?
This game screams trench battle, Allen and Rodgers both being conservative, both teams desperate to win and will avoid giving up the chunk plays. This will be the equivalent to a chess game.
17-16. I'm sprinkling on the Jets because the Saleh firing, Rodgers on prime time and Allen is hurt.
