I want to start this by declaring that I have learned the official Marquess of Queensbury Covers Recordkeeping Rules by the official Covers Recordkeeping Panel of Administrators that I have been keeping my record incorrectly.
I (incorrectly) thought that if you won or lost on an NFL side that included a split bet on the ML and spread, this was 1 for the purposes of recordkeeping. Not so fast my friends! IT IS 2!!
So - in the interest of keeping my record as high as possible - I will only be posting extremely large ML favorites from now on. I always told my mom that one day I wouldnt be a loser, and here we are!
OK - now to serious business.
MNF: COLTS +7.5 (3.5 units) (I would also maybe suggest some ML but I cant "officially" recommend that because that might endanger my "official" record at Covers)
I think there is a lot of smoke and mirrors around this Ravens side. Their adjusted stats really take a hit if you look at recency of SOS - Raiders, Chiefs, Broncos all look like tough opponents in the weeks the Ravens played them, but subsequent results have shed a different light. Lamar Jackson is not that hard to gameplan against - and the idea is to just make him throw the ball - and given the long week for the Colts I think they have a good shot at doing it. Wentz should be healthier than he has been and should be able to manage the offense.
Close game, 1 score game either way. Something like 21-17 Ravens.

LOL vanzack,
I hear you, bud, and good for you...I wish you the best. If only I had 100K I’d have used this idea already. I first posted that strategy on 9/29 (post #3) in lifeboy1965’s “NFL Wagering as an Investment” thread when he was asking for ideas on how to invest 100K in football betting with an investing mindset instead of a wagering mindset.
My strategy set the lower parameter at -350 on the OPENING line and it had to stay above that lower limit. It hasn't failed yet this season, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize why. I didn't "discover" anything really; just common sense. But lifeboy1965 asked for a strategy and I suggested it. Tonight the Ravens opened anywhere from -275 to -325 and prices in between, so I wouldn't be jumping on the Ravens ML necessarily.
Cheers and BOLTA of us !!!
