It will be raining in Foxboro tonight, so let's talk about the game with this in mind.
Obviously the rain might make the under a viable play, since we'll likely see more turnovers and more running game.
As for which team has the advantage if the teams go to the ground game, who has the edge? Both top 10 rushing offenses and both top 10 rushing defenses.
Houston has the better RB in Foster, but the Patriots have the best run stuffer in Vince Wilfork. Thoughts?

Rain and slightly windy (10-15 mph)...can the Pats complete passes? Can both teams protect the ball? I'm thinking both trams will rush mostly with occasional pass when rain stops intermittently.

Pats always play well in poor weather conditions at home, I'm sure Belichek was spraying a hose over them at practice this week. I know they had guys holding brooms simulating blocked passes at practice...

yeah really... this will bea running game because the rain.. how many times we have seen the pats airing it out no fear in a winter storm ... if all, the one team that will be affected is the texans, accostumed to play in the cozy confines of thei weather controlled dome

I think the Patriots are MUCH better suited to playing in these conditions, like some of you have said. I think Texas really struggles to score tonight...I'm thinking 30-13 New England.
On stat that jumps out to me is that New England leads the league in fumbles recovered with 19. The 2nd place defense is a distant second with 14. Rain usually means more turnovers, and the Patriots force them better than anyone. Give me the Pats!

in the NFL turnovers typically even out in the end.

the reason why the patriots are good bad weather team is brady dosen't throw the ball down field
Everything is Quick and short most defenses play soft zones and its easy to throw the ball 5yds and on a slippery field these little passes turn into runs after catches
that's why the pats have the tarp off the field as we speak the rain is off and on but its warm and balmy and if field isn't slippery it wont be a factor

We all saw the texans in the rain they are not that good on offense. I still don't consider schaub an elite QB even after their 11-1 record. As for patriots... brady can play in rain, snow, sleet, he dominates. Ever see his snow games? blow people out
