I wrote last Thursday night that as bettors it is easy to fall into the trap of over analyzing games and took the Colts to beat the Jaguars and that play was never in doubt as the better team won convincingly.
Well for tonight the same applies. Always start with who the better team is and in this case it's the Steelers.
The Steelers are going in one direction (3-0 SU & ATS last 3) while the Chiefs have been going one direction all season long (1-7 SU 2-6 ATS & 3 ATS losses in a row).
Looking at their recent road games it's easy to see why they are double digit dogs tonight. 17 point loss at San Diego, 28 point loss at Tampa Bay, and an 18 point loss at Buffalo. Their only decent road outing was their OT win at the Saints when the Saints were perhaps at their lowest point of the season.
The Steelers are off a road SU win and cover at the Giants and in the week prior beat Washington by 15 at home.
Any way you slice it, the Chiefs are a bad football team.
Cassel has thrown for only 6 TD's all season to go with his 11 interceptions and an abysmal 68.9 rating. Does anyone really expect him to show some balls AT Pittsburgh after being pretty much inefficient all season long? Compare that to Big Ben's 16 TD's/4 INTs and 101 QB rating?
Who really cares how much public money is on the Steelers? Who cares what everyone else is playing? (Cowboys had the largest "square" action on Sunday and look what happened). The fact is, teams attract money for a reason and I would comfortably lay 2 TD's with Pittsburgh tonight. Remember, the line may actually be lower because of the way underdogs have performed this season. The fact is, sometimes you just have to ride the disproportionate imbalance in stats and talent and go with the hotter team facing a team going south in a hurry (KC).
I don't see KC being able to score enough to cover the number here. The Steelers have outgained all their opponents except for week 1 (Denver)while the Chiefs have been outgained in their last 3 by large margins.
Steelers win by 17+ points tonight.

+12 is a heck of a lot of points in this sandwich game for the steelers. Coming off playing the defending champs to playing their biggest rivals next week...KC +12 or no play for me.

I think you're on to something there. Except I think only Rothlesfuckher should be the only one required to wear one throughout the entire game! Great idea, I'm behind it 100%

The Chiefs offense will struggle....no Bray Quinn either tonight. That's a huge factor. Lay the lumber as long as it stays under 14. Yellow & Black attack. Go Steelers. The bad weather will only add to the Chiefs demoralization. The KC player's mindset probably is " I'm not having Thanksgiving dinner on crutches " " I'm not getting hurt tonight....healthy for the holidays. "

What the fuck are you talking about "no Brady Quinn" for like he's an upgrade over Cassel or has played all season?
