Keep betting on bad teams and you will lose your shirt!!! Patriots had 80% public money on it and look what happened. Proven fact if you pick the winner of the game outright it covers the point spread 75 % of the time !!!
I bet you didn't know that the Patriots bring in quiet a lot of TV ratings back in the east coast.
Look at the Panthers last year... they won almost every line. Another was the Broncos.. You see ratings.. you make them win, you bring in viewers and you bring in different fan base to tune in football. Every year you see different teams become undefeated and bring in a new different crowd to the spotlight.. for example the Minnesota Vikings. The year of the weed bowl.. the year of the Harbaugh Bowl, I can go on and on but you get what I mean.
Eventually time will switch this undefeated schedule to the Jaguars or the Browns next year.. have the fan base explore a strong season. But when you have these things... you only come and break records but not win the SUPERBOWL. It's all a trade off.
All part of football..profits, views, ratings, money, fans..blah.
Vikings are rising up because of their newly built BILLION dollar stadium... this is just to bring in the crowds and have the fans stay and excite them. This trend will die off next year and hopefully the fans will stay and watch football over BASEBALL.
