(NFL/SOCCER): 12-2-1 ATS (BEFORE anyone questions, I miscalculated the record last night forgot to add in the last winning play)
Last monday was dreadful, not a gift at ALL. So I'm hoping to kick off the week on the heels of the 5-1 NFL weekend with another winning play. But before I do so, I want to share a fun fact and one that has brought me joy over the past couple hours. I own 5000 shares of TESLA stock which i purchased a couple years back. Today, as I have been stating to whomever will listen, my rhetoric became a reality as the company was (finally) included in the S&P 500. That has pushed the TSLA share price up over 50 points in After Hours trading to $460/share. Just something to get my juices going and fuel the following analysis:
UNDER 45 (MIN/CHI): I'm going to begin with the obvious; how anyone can take the OVER in this game when Chicago has a track record of barely scoring throughout the year is, to say the least, baffling. Winds are gusty tonight and Chicago has more problems than just Minnesota, they have Covid on their hands. It's still not entirely clear who plays on the offensive line and, if the starters are all suiting up, how effective they are with little to no practice time. Moreover, David Montgomery is missing (no Tarik Cohen let's not forget) and I don't think Foles will have enough time with the aforementioned O-line issues to pick apart the Minnesota secondary. OH, and lastly, Nagy is no longer handling play calls....good or bad thing? Not sure I really want to find out. On the other side of the ball, Minnesota has found success getting back to the basics and relying on Dalvin Cook. But the Bears have been stout against RB's, giving up few TD's to the position, and that might force Kirk Cousins to throw more. Yes, he has Jefferson and Thielen as receivers, as well as Kyle Rudolph. But that's NOT what got Minnesota this brief 2 game winning streak and forcing Cousins to beat you is EXACTLY what the Bears want. So, to recap, the Bears can't run b/c they have no RB, have a "shaky" offensive line, and a mistake prone QB while Minnesota WANTS to run, which is the Bears D strength, and has a QB incapable of shouldering the entire game to victory. Yeah, I see UNDER.
Hope this helps, looking to keep crushing, I heard on VSin today that Vegas cleaned up. Funny, because at 5-1 ATS I think we cleaned up as well. Not to mention the ONE loss was by a mere 1/2 point b/c Philly went for 2 in the 3rd quarter vs kicking an extra point to make it a 3 point difference vs. a 2 point difference. Very odd indeed. But who knows, maybe this is a good thread to follow ???????.
As always, keep things constructive, tail or fade, good luck to all...
