The only way to beat him in the past was with a strong d-line and now he will face three of the best five in the league combined with huge secondaries.
The "AGAIN" was implied because every year (Hell, every playoff) somebody starts this thread dooming the Patriots.
I hate the Patriots as much as anyone, but come on. They gave up 33 to the Dolphins and 41 to the Chiefs and it's time to replace Brady?
Every season, it's, they don't have
- 1000 yard rusher
- 1000 yard receiver
- Gronk has another injury
- Oline is patchwork
- Dline is patchwork
- They've gotten rid of veterans that can still play
...........................and yet....................
Likewise, we hear the constant trumpeting of how the other teams in their division will be improving this year, this time I'm sure of it
Well, they've certainly taken their sweet F'n time, haven't they?
Buffalo-only the Buffs could come up with a winning coach, and then watch him leave. I mean, who does that? In Ryan, they've got a name coach, knows full well what to expect from the Pats, and isn't afraid of big, bad Bill. Pretty sure he can improve the defense, and like his time on the Jets, can win with a great Rb (MCCoy) and a mediocre Qb (you pick).....
FLASH-just signed TE Charles Clay from Miami. Qbs best friend.......
Dolphins-made a big splash (pun intended) with Suh. I'm really high on Tannehill (he's as good as Flacco IMHO-in another thread, I brought up the #s 27Td, 12ints, both 60%+ passers, similar Qb rating) Getting rid of Wallace is addition by subtraction. If they win 10-I would not be surprised.
Jets-well, a sinking (sunk) ship. New coach (improvement-although it does take some time to get "your" players to fit "your" system) and a NEW secondary (headed by D.Revis-how well does he play when it's not a contract year, though?)
The draft will be uber-importante. What if Mariotta is there? What to do? The first decent Qb from Oregon will be the first since Dan F'n Fouts (you younger folks will have to Google that one!)
OR pass on a chance to get Vic Beasley OLB outta Clemson, and try and get TWO draft picks in the first round?
Again, I hate the Patriots GUTS. But until somebody can bury the King, I am hesitant of His demise..........
