    CINCINNATTI  -2.5

Rex Ryan's buffoonery , of talking about winning out , and that the JETS should be the favorite , I guess  convinced the betting public ,, with this line

Its  nonsense talk  probably to convince himself, and  his team  , that they can actually win in the playoffs , and belong , this talk always comes back and bites  you in the ass ., and  people that talk like this,  really know,  they have no chance.

, In my opinion they really are not a playoff team , and have got to this point , with an easy backend of a schedule , and the fact that in their last two games , they were lucky enough to come up against  teams that didnt try to win .

The fact is the JETS have really no offense , and Mark Sanchez , while he could make a few plays early in the season , as the season progressed,  after talking a few hits , he's not making those plays anymore , the fact that it will be very cold and windy will not help maters for the california kid . who  i think  plays soft ,  at times

With the JETS not  being able to throw the ball effectively, i think it will be easy for the bengals to concetrate on shutting them down on the ground

Bengals are not my favorite team ., but its been along time coming for Carson Parmer since being knocked out of that playoff game with Pittsburgh ,4 years ago ,  he gets this win here , against the weakest team in the playoffs .

Yep Mystic Rich, much is made of the Jets' defense but overlooked is that the Bengals defense is ranked 4th and they played a tougher schedule IMO. The Bengals beat the Ravens and Steelers twice each and played the Chargers toe to toe on the road.

I am very pleased to see you on the Bengals too this week and may the force with us!

i'm a big fan of Carson Palmer... but he is playing on an awful team... take these facts into consideration, given what we know about the types of teams that generally succeed in the NFL playoffs...

    1) Jets have the #1 defense in the NFL

    2) Jets have the #1 rushing offense in the NFL

    3) Cincy has lost 3 of their last 4 games

    4) Cincy has lost 4 of their last 7 games ()

the very fact that i see so many people in love with Cincy just proves my point about how fucking useless these forums are... wow!

sorry... that last statement isn't directed at you, Mystic... just a comment in general about the forums... your opinion is valuable relative to most... but i just can't believe people are struggling with this game...

I don't know how anyone can think Cincy is the best bet, but good luck to all who bet the game.

I don't see an advantage for either team on offense, defense or special teams.

The Jets statistically have the better D, but looking at the numbers, Cincy's D at home is significantly better than on the road. That could be due to the SD and Minny games being on the road.

I just can't call a Cincy team that will be lucky to score 13 points a Best bet.  If Cincy wins, it'll be a 16-13 game and winning by a .5 pt to me doesn't qualify as best bet material.

Obviously, it's only my opinion, but I watched all of cincy's games via directv shortcuts and for the past 9 weeks, they had 2 offensive games. One in SD when they scored 24 and 23 at home vs Detroit.  I don't think it's going to be 70 degrees and conducive to throwing Saturday afternoon.

Otherwise, Cincy scores between 10 and 18 points.

Now they face the Jets, a solid defensive team that matches up well with Cincy and you expect Cincy to score what?  13 ? 16? 17 points max unless something flukey happens.

Cincy may win by 3 but that's definitely not best bet material, especially when the Jets have as good a shot at winning outright as Cincy does.

Might as well place your money on red or black and give the roulette wheel a spin.

If Cincy wins, it'll be a 16-13 game and winning by a .5 pt to me doesn't qualify as best bet material.

hey Zman  sorry it troubles you that i made this a best bet , as i say in my post , The jets are just not a playoff calabar team , and i dont care about stats , when the JETS  can-t beat a horrible Buffalo team at home , that should tell you more than all the stats you can dig up ,

you mentioned the SanDiego game ,the fact that the Bengals  are good enough to compete with one of the best teams in the league on the road , should tell you there is more to it than the  Red + Black ,of a roulette wheel  when the Bengals choose to play .

BOL. I was just bustin stones. Don't take me seriously and sorry if I was a bit confrontational. Just added some smack talk.

I hope you win as I won't be on a side.

I took the UNDER 34 which is risky but I see 1H conservatism from both coaches, especially Ryan, who won't let Sanchez take many chances, especially going up against 2 very good corners in Hall and Joseph.

I see 2H points but shouldn't be enough to take the game over the 34. We'll see. I'm being very bold in my analysis and predictions. I've been on a good roll and hope to continue.

look at the last 7 games the Bengals played this year...

    @ Oak... Lost 17-20

    Cle... Won 16-7

    Det... Won 23-13

    @ Min... Lost 10-30

    @ SD... Lost 24-27

    KC... Won 17-10

    @ NYJ... Lost 37-0

i can see why you would want to "highlight" that Chargers game as the marquee performance for this Bengals team down the stretch...

THIS is where you are putting your money?  on a team that you are impressed by because they lost?  i mean... the sad thing is, you are right!  if there is any game you are going to hang your hat on there is the Chargers game... a game they didn't win...

    THAT is your highlight!

let's say that a performance as "good" as their loss to the Chargers will be good enough to beat the Jets... based on those results... I'd say you have a 1 in 7 chance of getting that "good" of a performance out of this piece of shit Bengals team...

Since Cincy's bye week and all games in November on, they scored

    17 vs Baltimore

18 vs Pitt   7 was on the kickoff return for TD

    17 vs Oakland

    16 vs Cleveland

    23 vs Detroit

    10 vs Minny

24 vs SD   -  Best game in great weather of the bunch

    17 vs KC -

    0  vs  Jets -

I don't see how Cincy scores more than 16 points on the Jets Defense.

I see Cincy with more like 10 or 13 points.

Cincy has been an outstanding dog this year but NEVER covered the spread as a favorite ( most were double digits) and ended up 0 - 7 as Chalk.

That's not good. In fact, that's horrendous.

Good luck!  I hope I'm wrong for your sake and the Bengals win 17 - 6.  It didn't bother me, I was just bustin' stones to get some dialogue on the games going.  I don't have a side, but we all view games differently and use information to corroborate our selections.  I usually don't post but wanted to see if I could gain some insight and how others view football matchups.

I think they started off hot with W's over Houston and NE.

I don't trust the Jets and I don't trust Cincy.

I stayed on the sidelines in this matchup.  I took a risk with the 34 and UNDER.

Good luck to all that took a side. I looked at my short cuts and numbers and had a slight lean to the Jets but couldn't trust Sanchez on the road to place a wager on them.

I'd like to see Cincy win for Palmer and in memory of Chris Henry.

i just find it hard to believe that a team who's most impressive win in the last 7 games came against the Chiefs, and who in that time also lost to the Raiders, can possibly be good enough to lay points in a playoff game to the team with the #1 running game and #1 defense in the NFL...

SOLID POINTS    THAT I CANT DISAGREE WITH. I  HAVE WATCHED ALOT OF BOTH THESE TEAMS ALSO ON DTV SHORT CUTS. ITS GOING TO BE A LOW SCORING DEFENSIVE BATTLE...BOTH TEAMS CANT SCORE AND BOTH TEAMS HAVE SOLID DEFENSES

The fact they they are the No.1 rushing team is a mark against them.  Top rushing teams are usually not very good teams.  They rush because they have a poor offense.  If they can't pass, they can't win.  The Jets can't pass.

I like the writeup and am on this play very strongly myself, top play of the day by far, and this with lots of tennis bets I made. I expect picky city from Sanchez, one of the more interception prone QBs I have seen in some time. I think he set the record for dropped INTs this year, the lucky bastard.

I like the writeup and am on this play very strongly myself, top play of the day by far, and this with lots of tennis bets I made. I expect picky city from Sanchez, one of the more interception prone QBs I have seen in some time. I think he set the record for dropped INTs this year, the lucky bastard.
