hey i just joined literally 5 min ago but i followed you on a couple bowl picks cuz i have browsed this sight for a couple weeks now and i just wanted to say thanks for the writeups you gave with the games. not to many people would take the time that you do just to give the reasoning behind a bet.

How good were they though ? They beat 3 teams with winning records:

The Pack (Despite being outgained by 100 yards, the 18 penalties, GB kicking line drives to Hester, fluke bounces)

Philly- Probably their best game of the year, were still outgained by 50 yards.

Jets- Jets outgained them by 70 yards.  As a Jets fan would love another shot.

GB won 6 times vs teams with winning records including 4 straight.

My local raised PIT from -3.5 (-110) to -3.5 (-115) now.

they were a completely different team after the bye week...actually had the most rushing attempts in the nfl since their bye week (heard that on the radio yesterday)

their defense has been excellent all year as has their special teams. cutler scares the piss out of me. i just think they are very undervalued here at home

If you are asking me who I would bet if those games were taking place today on a neutral field....

I would think that the Jets Bears should be about a PK, and I think the Steelers should be -3 over the Bears.

But if you said that there was still a game to play for each, I would tell you that I would wait to see injuries / results to come up with those lines.

Not sure a team record against teams with winning records is worth much.

Thus far the team with the better record against teams with winning records is a pathetic 2-6 ATS, will it be 2-7 ATS on sunday ??

2008 it was just 4-7 ATS including Zona with a 2-6 record VS teams with winning records going 4-0 ATS and almost winning the SB .

2009 it did go 6-3 ATS, THATS 12-16 ATS Past 3 playoff seasons.

And this is why you can't just assume because something seems to make sense to you that it must work that way, here's one example of working the exact opposite of what you assume makes sense.

locked in two team parlay, S. carolina+ 7.5 and louisville -5, i think the ville wins by 15-20 and dont like kentucky in this spot today, think the cocks gotta real chance to take this one.

And yet they were outrushed in all 4 games they played in December.  It's probably best I don't play this game.
