Lets get started by saying it was an interesting week 10. The Saints got a scare for the 3rd straight week but survived the turnovers & won the game like a great team should. The Titans looked impressive & im guessing the missing link was Vince Young, now 3-0 this season with him at the helm. The underdogs once again dominated the board for the 2nd straight week. Now on to week 11 & imo, expect another week of underdogs!
(Carolina -3 vs Miami), Carolina & Miami are both sitting at 4-5, the difference is Carolina is 5 game back from 1st place Saints & imo, dont have a shot at the wildcard. The Dolphins are 2 games behind the Patriots which should have Miami playing hard the rest of this season with 7 games remaining on the schedule. Carolina isnt that good & played over their heads vs the Falcons. Miami will come into Carolina with a wicked wildcat offense. Ronnie Brown will be out for this game vs Carolina & he runs the wildcat very well. I dont think that will be a problem for Miami as they will replace Brown & run the wildcat just as well. Betting edge: Miami ML & Miami +3, also throw Miami into any teasers.
(Lions -3 vs Browns), Browns will be coming off the Monday night game & im assuming they will lose it since im writing this on Monday afternoon. Both teams are playing for 1st round picks next season but I would lean towards the Browns winning this game, not much else to write about these teams. Betting edge: Browns +3 & ML

(Pitt -10 at Chiefs), This is a tough game to gage, I dont know which Pitt team will show up! Pitt has the Ravens the following week in Baltimore & it doesnt matter who the Chiefs are playing because they play reckless football every game & get lucky to win & cover when possible. Now that the Steelers have relinquished 1st place in their division to the Bengals & are sitting 1 game back, they need to show up to win the game & cover for the gamblers backing them. The Chiefs got the backdoor cover in Jacksonville & got the lucky bounces in Oakland to get the outright win. Pitt's best defensive player is out & he makes a world of difference on the defensive side. Betting edge: Steelers in 3 team 10 point teasers & ML parlays.
(Colts -1 at Ravens), I have the Colts in a 4 team parlay but after further review & studying this game closer, I have a change of heart. The Colts are undefeated & got some lucky breaks towards the end of the Pats game to get the win. Manning was throwing up some lame duck passes that made me wonder what was going on. Are the Patriots as good as everyone thinks, only time will tell! Colts have several key injured players. The Ravens beat the Browns on Monday night but their offense didnt show me much. What I saw was the Browns defense shutting down the Ravens offense. Maybe the Ravens offense didnt want to show anything about their offensive schemes on national tv & hold back to unload on the Colts the following week, I mean, the Ravens knew their defense could single handily win the game Monday night. The Ravens had 2 picks deep in Browns territory as 1 was run back for a td. Ravens have the Steelers coming to town next week & are they looking ahead? No way! No team is looking ahead when facing an undefeated team & imo, any team facing an undefeated team past the half way mark of the season is playing this game like its their Super Bowl! (Betting edge: Ravens ML), I do have a $200 4 team parlay with the Colts & I regret putting them in the parlay. Ravens upset the Colts!

(Giants -6 vs Falcons), The Giants started the season 5-0 & lost their next 4 games. Something is definitely wrong with this Giants team. The bye week is supposed to help teams get healthy & get the game plan ready for the upcoming game. Im sure Coughlin will have his troops ready for battle come Sunday. The Falcons play well for a few weeks & then fall apart. Its a repeat cycle for this team. They played ok in Carolina but they settled for field goals when they should have gotten touchdowns. Betting edge: Falcons +6 & Falcons in any teaser but Giants win this game by 3 points!
(Packers -6 vs 49ers), The Packers played inspired last week vs Dallas. Dallas looked like a highschool team out there & Romo was his old self, a turnover machine! G Bay needed the win last week badly & got it. G Bay is 4 games behind the Vikings & barring a meltdown by Favre & company, the Packers are playing for a wildcard spot. The 49ers are 2 games behind Arizona & need a few wins under their belts also. The 49ers can lose this game & still have a chance to catch the Cards in the division but the Cards are catching fire & winning the games they need too. Zona/Cards division is not locked up & imo, wont be until the last 2 weeks of the season. The 49ers offense has a hard time scoring points as of late. The Packers are pumped after beating the high flying Cowboys & know if they win this game, they have it easy on Thanksgiving day in Detroit. Betting edge: Packers -6 & any 6 or 10 point teasers!

nothing is wrong with the giants. they just went through a bad spell.
during the super bowl year they sucked a$$ the 1st 2 games and then late in the season eli was horrible in 2 games against minn and wash. they werent great during that regular season and pulled it together when it mattered. eli rested during the bye so his foot is better. tuck rested his shoulder. offensive line got replenished. ross is back which drasticallly helps the secondary. there whole defense is intact for the 1st time this year minus phillips of course. no turner plus giants emotional coming off the bye and four game losing streak = giants roll in this one.

(Vikings -11 vs Seattle), Vikings (8-1) came off the bye week & played down to their competition, the Lions & still got the cover or push. The Vikings have two more games at home before heading out west to play Zona. Minnesota could be 9-0 but the Steelers got some of the luckiest bounces in a football game I had ever seen, but then again, good teams always get the lucky bounce. The Vikings true test comes when they play Zona out west & the Bengals at home in 4 weeks. Seattle plays half decent at home but rarely shows up on the road this season. Seattle had every opportunity to cover the spread last week but was prone to turning the ball over inside the redzone in the 4th quarter. Now Seattle has to travel to Minnesota & hope to keep it close with the Vikings after the meltdown in Arizona. I dont like backing teams after a meltdown. Betting edge: Vikings -11 & 3 team 10 point teasers.
(Dallas -11 vs Skins), Dallas played the most uninspired football I have seen by them in a long time. They looked like the Lions out there. Romo was a turnover machine & Roy Williams was dropping passes that should have been routine. For some reason, this team cant put together a good 5 or 6 games of winning. The Skins came off the bye week & played a decent game at Atlanta but was overcome by turnovers & finalll was outplayed in the 2nd half. The Skins played their best football this season to date last weekend, the 2nd week after the bye. They came into the game as a 3.5 point homedog & kept it close in the 1st half. They opened up their offensive game in the 2nd half & shut down Denver's offense to 0 points in the 2nd half. Lets dont forget Kyle Orton got hurt & Chris Simms came in to take charge. im pretty sure thats the reason the Broncos's didnt score, that kid cant throw a ball past 20 yards. The Skins defense has never been the problem, it has been their offense & coaching staff & with Portis out, they still won last week. My hat goes off to them, maybe they figured out how to win, LoL! What's interesting is the pointspread in this game opened up at Dallas -13 & quickly got hammered down to 11, some places have Dallas -10.5. Betting edge: Dallas in 3 team 10 point teasers but the Skins +11 in a close game.

(Saints -11.5 at Tampa), Interesting game we have here. The Saints see to be playing down to their competition past 3 games. They got the biggest scare last week when playing the Rams in St Louis. Imo, the Saints (9-0) could have blown the Rams out of the water but for some reason, they werent motivated to do so. Tampa (1-8) was winless coming off the bye week & was a 10 point homedog vs G Bay & with their new qb won that game. Im assuming their new qb gave this Tampa team a spark as they could have beaten Miami last week also but fell short as they had the lead late in the game but Miami kicked a field goal in the last seconds to win it by 2 points. The Saints are undefeated & have the Patriots coming to town next Monday night. This will be a big game for the NFL & viewing audience. Everyone wants to see an undefeated Saints team play the Patriots on Monday night. Imo, the Saints will overlook this week's game & go thru the motions of knowing they cant risk any major injuries because they have their biggest test so far this season vs the Patriots. This is Tampa's Super Bowl, it doesnt get an bigger then this for Tampa. Knock off the undefeated team & you start the ground work for next season. This line opened at Saints -12.5 & quickly got bet down to -11.5. Betting edge: Tampa +11.5 & Tampa ML for a small wager in an upset!
(Arizona -9 at Rams), Zona is a tricky team, they have covered every game on the road this season but tend to play poor at home. They are a big road favor this week & have won 5 of the past 6 games after their bye week. The Rams played great ball last week vs the Saints & had every opportunity to win the game but couldnt cash the ticket. The Rams could take some of their momentum from last week into this game. I wont go into much detail about this game but dont see any edge in betting it. Betting edge: None

Great write ups. I agree with most of them, I do like your Colts pick. I think that the way they are playing lately does indicate that they are due for a loss but I don't think its going to be Baltimore. I know it was only Cleveland, but Baltimore is playing on a short week. They couldn't put points up against Cinci either so have they been hiding their offense for two weeks? or are they just having problems moving the ball and more importantly scoring? We know Indy can put up points against pretty much anybody, especially a Baltimore defence with some key injuries. They're defence can't and won't win this game. The thing with Indy is you can't stop Peyton you can only hope to contain him. If Baltimore can't put up points, they won't be in this game. Indy's first loss is going to come at the hands of Houston.

Nice write-up BMW, this is a really tough game to gauge especially with the spread being so low. If the Ravens dont beat the Colts, I would love to see the Texans beat them. Good luck either way this week!

(Patriots -10.5 vs Jets), The Patriots (6-3) coaching staff had a complete meltdown with 2 minutes left in the Sunday night game. The Pats gave that game away the easy way even tho they had intercepted Manning & scored several times off turnovers. The Patriots can be passed & run on. The Patriots are looking for revenge after being beat by the Jets in week 2 in New York. The Jets (4-5) started the season 3-0 but could not hold on to their winning ways. The Jets came off the bye week supposedly prepared to play the Jags but ended up losing by 2 points. Were the Jets looking ahead to the Patriots this coming week? I know Belichick will have his team prepared for battle, especially after being made to look like an idiot on every sports channel in america for the call he made vs the Colts towards the end of the game. Also, he is playing the Jets, an important divisional match-up & the revenge factor put in there for good measure should fire his team up but the fact is the Jets need this game just as much as the Patriots & they will come to play. If the Patriots win this game, it wont be by more than 7 points by I see an upset in the making. Betting edge: Jets +10.5, Jets in teasers & Jets ML.
(Bengals -9.5 at Raiders), The Bengals are flying high at 7-2 after sweeping the Steelers in the series. The Bengals have also beaten the Ravens twice this season . What has gotten into this team? The Bengals are playing great ball, especially on the defensive side, something they knew little about years before. The Raiders (2-7) are just that, the Raiders! They came off the well rested bye & had every chance to beat the Chiefs but turnovers killed them. The Raiders have made a change in the Qb position for this coming week because Jamarcus is nothing but a turnover machine. The Bengals came off the bye week playing two physical games back to back vs their division rivals, the Ravens at home & then traveled to Pittsburgh for the 2nd physical game, both resulting in wins. Now the Bengals have to travel out west to Oakland & their supposed to be up for this game? No way, I dont see it! The Bengals are 1-7 SU past 10 years when traveling out west & I see them going thru the motions & coming up with a 3 point win. The Bengals have the Browns next week at home & Oakland is playing on Thanksgiving day at Dallas. (Betting edge: Raiders +9.5), if you wait, you may get 10 but you wont need that many points as I see a very tight game!
