Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots
End of the dynasty right?
This is a HUGE game for both teams. Miami wins this and they go up 4-0 while the Patriots who win the division every year go to 1-3 and 3 games back of the division lead after just 4 weeks. Now tell me, which of these teams has more experience playing in big games? This will have a playoff atmosphere to it as it’s essentially a must win for New England, and the Dolphins have played in 1 playoff game in the last 10 years, and close to 0 other meaningful games late in the year or to clinch the division as they are never in a position to. This week 4 meeting very quickly makes this one of Miami’s biggest games in a while. Now we are asking them to go into an extremely hostile environment in a game they have 0 experience playing in. Huge advantage to the Patriots.
If you’ve been paying attention you’ll know why I’m backing the Pats here. I bet against New England the last 2 weeks and am telling you the Pats you saw against JAX and Detroit is not the same team you will see moving forward. Not even close. The Patriots are being sh1t on for being 1-2, but they haven’t even played a single game with their defense healthy yet. That changes this week. People are saying Brady looked terrible last week but won’t even acknowledge the Lions held the ball for 20 of the first 25 minutes due to the injured Pats defense.
And on offense, Gordon will finally be replacing Dorsett who saw 5 targets from Brady last week but caught 0 of those 5 targets. The Dolphins are better this year, I bet them over 6.5 wins in the preseason for one of my bigger team total futures of the year, but they aren’t on the Pats level. Pats will show up this Sunday, and I expect them to win this game by 3 TDs.
Buffalo Bills @ Green Bay Packers
The Packers, like the Vikings yesterday, are another team that’s living off their reputation from previous years. I’m not high on Green Bay at all right now, plus, Rodgers is playing injured and has had very little practice time with his receivers over the past few weeks due to his sore knee. I wish I had more confidence in the Bills, but I believe they have a solid chance at an upset.
