@LionsIn2023
Vanzack is very humble because he is a fantastic member of the Covers community...a real gem.
Always read his thoughts.
Thanks, and I noticed you are on a very hot streak to start the year.
Continued success.

Save some for World Cup Brotha!
Cannot wait!

You're killing it per usual brother... Amazing work Van and have to say for the NFl and used to pride my knowledge on this sport, but have been more into college past few years and well, every other sport
Can't wait for the World Cup and just hoping the Netherlands or Belgium can do some damage (Forget which Dutch name my last name comes from), but thinking Samba Boys (Finally), Argentina, or The Azzuri will take it down in the end..I will never count out France or Germany, but it's so hard to repeat and thankfully the South American not winning on European soil will come into play...
All the best and cheers my man

I can tell you one thing...count out the Netherlands for WC winners. A lot of first string players don't play a lot or play horrible at this moment...can't see Van Gaal turning this around.

I cant wait. Going to be great. I am not big on Belgium, but in this type of tournament anyone has a shot.
Except for Italy. They are not in it. Didnt qualify.

@sportschat
I would say you still need a lot of luck. There is always going to be someone who wins the PowerBall, always someone who goes on 25 game win streaks. However for most of us we are just going to donate either by vig or just getting dominated. I would say Vanzack has luck and also a lot of skill. But sports betting anything can happen. The more I study this week to week I just feel like there are people who are lucky and not so lucky. just my opinion

@blueseeka
Great qualification round by Canada. The US may be a sleeper. North America hosting next WC.
Can't wait. Missing the Azzurri though. Terrible calls by the coach allowing Jorginho to take those pens. Don't know how he still has a job.

Vanzack is a cool guy good sports bettor but I still do not believe he lives off sports betting. I know he never told me that and I'm not putting words in others mouths. lts just my own opinion he's a smart guy and obviously has a main career or something else to supplement. Put it this way. Hypothetically, if someone was so good at NFL betting they would get backed off just like a good blackjack player. Eventually they would have nowhere to play. In what world is a casino or online book going to let you keep demolishing them. you are either going to get flattened out or kicked out. I just don't get this. Maybe he just does it for some extra pocket change for some nice trees and other things one likes to endulge in lol. Anyways food for thought

very true that books these days are pansies when it comes to limits and risk % with their handles. Circa is one of the very few brick & mortar shops that caters to Pro bettors... Pro as in, those who manage their money and action like a Pro and those who make a living off it. One can be a professional bettor and at the same time not be beholden to your winnings as the only means to live.
the easiest way to get around what you are theoretically describing is having numerous outfits to bet with. you may be limited to $1k per play but if you have 20+ different books and/or accounts that you (or your syndicate) are using then no problem.

but enough from me I am a negative person and always have been from what I went through early in life. I am happy for you Van and enjoy the hot streak. I feel like they don't come around to often.

I can see that but when I worked for a sports book all these books are owned by 2 casinos. you will be in the system and I have seen people botched at by Mike Piranio because he calls Jeff saying they see the same guy on camera betting at 3 different places. With title 31 laws and all this irs baloney there's no way you can do it in my opinion. Even without giving identification they will eventually catch you and all the runners. The only guy I have seen bet huge amounts is Charles Barkley and Mayweather on a consistent basis. Barkley used to come to Mandalay Bay a lot and average bet was like 100k for him I believe. He did bet 1 million on the seahawks the year they won the superbowl I believe. I've seen my buddy Charles(not barkley another Charles) get kicked out of William Hill because he was winning to much at 500 dollars a game. That was at Ellis Island. Backed off over being a 500 dollar winning bettor. I am very interested in what van does full time bc he's a smart guy. I'm sure he could be a finance guy or real estate something tells me. Van might embellish things a bit hehe. I mean hell even if he's an uber driver he is making a lot with sports betting to. My overall point is I went over a 1000 game sample size in another post and you habe to be betting around 5,000 a game to make a decent living. I can't see a casino getting burned or online book getting burned over and over at those limits. it's not even that huge but it would add up over time and any house is taking notice. food for thought

NFL Season +25.00 units
MNF - no bet
I lean Broncos, but I just can't pull the trigger on such a putrid offense in the hopes that this is the week they wake up and score more than in the teens. When they do, I will adjust, but I won't bet my money that this is the week. GL all.

People who talk in terms of "luck and unluck" are losers who don't understand the world, and assign their own perceptions of probability to this random force.
Take charge of your life. You are on here complaining non-stop, but the one thing I have never heard you say is that you want to be better, you want to learn, that you will do the work.
You think I am lucky? As in lucky for seasons on seasons? Hate to tell you pal, that doesnt exist.
So much easier to label yourself a victim of being "unlucky".

I am not on a "hot streak". What dont you get about this?
I am on a very methodical plan. I do this year after year. This year, I am on a sustainable pace.
Most people at covers wouldn't call what I am doing a hot streak. But OK.

OMG dude. This is true "caveman looking up at the stars" stuff. You have no clue. You are talking about a world you have zero idea about.
It is really actually funny to read stuff like this. Makes me chuckle.
I am interested in your math above, because it is the only thing I can really debate objectively - the other stuff is just horsesh*t..... Let me do some math for you....
I am up 25 units in 6 weeks. Going about 60%. My average normalized vig this season is -103.15. If my unit size is 1k per game, I am up 25k in 6 weeks. If my unit size is 10k per week, I am up 250K in 6 weeks. If my average unit size is 20K, I am up 500k in 6 weeks.
You have no idea about the other income streams in sports gambling either. The arbs, the buying and selling of risk free positions etc. Very little risk - steady income. You dont know about these things because you dont want to learn or work. You just want to guess.
So your math is WAY off. It is laughably stupid.
And yes, I am an uber driver. I have just spent 25 years on covers guessing about picks and writing crazy sh*t in between riders.
