NFL Week 12 (YTD 36-25)

Great week this past week and hoping to continue on this run into week 12.  Good luck to everyone and Happy Thanksgiving. 

First locked in play:

Detroit +6 -110 (2 units)
I will take the points here, but am still considering putting a 1-unit play on Detroit ML as well.  I just really like this spot for Detroit in this one.  Stafford is playing really well (outside of his game against Chicago of course) and I just suspect he will carry that forward into this one.  I also think Green Bay is going to lose eventually and this could be the spot where the Dolphins get to pop open the champagne as it wouldn't surprise me to see the Lions win this one outright.

The Pats didn't win the Super Bowl so it doesn't count.

Hmmm... Maybe the Dolphins of 72 want GB to win on Thursday.  Who wants to pop champagne with turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie - doesn't seem like the right drink of choice for Thanksgiving?

At this point I doubt I will play the ML, so a three point win by GB sounds just fine to me.  I also hope it is high scoring as I have Stafford and Johnson on my fantasy team.  Maybe something like 34-31 would be nice, with Stafford throwing three TD's.

I bought the hook here to be safe with 3 being suck a key number, but I honestly don't think I will need it.  Losing Schaub really isn't going to make as big of a deal as it would for a lot of teams.  If you look at this match-up with the Jags, the two teams are now probably even at the QB position.  But the Jags do not have nearly as strong of skilled position players as the Texans.  Add-in that the Texans defense is playing as well as anyone right now and the fact that Jville is one of the worst home field advantages, and I just don't see any reason to think the Texans don't win this one relatively easily.

This is a tough one.  I really want to fade Tebow, but I struggle to take the Chargers right now.  How Norv Turner still has a job is beyond me.  I am going back and forth and honestly don't know right now.

This one stuck out to me right away on the totals, and once digging deeper, I like it even more now.  Drew Brees is lights out at home and Eli Manning is lights out on the road this season.  I expect both to have strong performances and the first team to 30 (which I expect will be the Saints) should win.  I see this one being 34-27 New Orleans.

I can't believe the way the Houston line has shot up.  Happy to be sitting there at a field goal.

Oakland -3 -105 (2 units)
I love getting a good Raiders team at a field goal with Caleb Haine (not even sure if that is how you spell it) starting at QB for the Bears.  I realize the Bears have a great defense and great special teams, but I just don't see them scoring much.  Add-in that Palmer is playing decently and the game is in Oakland, and I like there chances to cover this one relatively easily.

I agree we will see a lot of Forte, but I also suspect Oakland will throw a lot of guys in the box.  Add-in that this Chicago offensive line is not good and in my opinion that is a recipe for disaster for an inexperienced QB.

Two more and this is likely it for this weekend.....

Tennessee -2 -125 (1 unit)
I am not convinced that Tampa Bay hasn't quit at this point.  Granted they kept it reasonably close against GB last weekend, but they just don't seem to be anywhere near the same team.  Meanwhile, Tennessee has to feel a bit rejuvenated with the injury to Schaub.  While, I don't think it matters in terms of winning the division, it has to give the Titans a little bit of hope.  Tennessee should win this one by a TD.

San Diego -5 -110 (1 unit)
I keep picturing Tebow's game against Detroit earlier in the year when I think about this one.  I just think the magic runs out here and San Diego wins this one by double digits.
