If you think it's rigged or scripted or whatever, why would you bet on it?  That makes you a first class dumbass.

God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.

The time to believe in something, anything at all, is after there is sufficient evidence and justification to warrant that belief. Not before. Who's AWARE of this rigging? The coaching staff? ALL of the coaches including the assistants or just the head coach? The players? ALL of the players or just a selected few? Note that there are 53 players on each NFL team. That's a total of 1,696 players. The legal sportsbooks around the country/world? ALL of the sportsbooks or just a selected few? The league itself? Which employees? ALL of them? The referees and officials? ALL of them or just a selected few? The writers? The sportscasters? The NFL owners? Their family? WHEN is the stage/script set? The week before each game? An hour before each game? WHO sets the stage/script? The home team? The league office? HOW LONG has this been going on for? Months? Years? Decades? HOW is the stage/script PASSED ON on to those who need to know about it? Via e-mails? Word of mouth? Phone calls? Text messages? How come none of this correspondence has every surfaced? How come not one person in on this rigging hasn't come clean? How come there's never been any evidence, ever, of any kind, that proves NFL games are rigged? Finally, if you believe it to be true, why are you watching these games? And how come you're not cleaning up, and winning money by legally betting on the apparently known outcome, that so many different people are privy to? There are well over 100 plays in an NFL game. Some games see as many as 150 plays. Multiply that by 16 games a week, for 17 weeks. That's a lot of plays. You don't think players are capable of dropping passes? You don't think players are capable of fumbling the ball at an inopportune time? You don't think referees are capable of making mistakes on some of these plays? (They don't have the benefit of replay before they must instantly make a decision on their call.) Could YOU as a player or official do any better? Have you ever made a mistake at YOUR job? How is a bad call or a dropped pass or an untimely fumble in any way EVIDENCE the game is rigged? I'll say it again. The time to believe in something, anything at all, is after there is sufficient evidence and justification to warrant that belief. Not before. If there is no evidence for leprechauns, fairies, pink unicorns, then there is no valid reason to believe these things. The REASON why betting on the NFL is such a big business is BECAUSE it's not fixed. We don't have billions being bet on the Pro Wrestling because those matches ARE scripted and planed in advance. That's not the case with the NFL.
I could only read the first line. Please tell me this is a joke. I have proved it's rigged by calling out the plays before they happen. It's just so obvious most times and the drops...my God.

in Federal Court, the NFL has established itself (WITH PRECEDENT), as an Entertainment business, NOT a sports business...you know, entertainment business like the WWF and Roller Derby...et al

I always wonder why the bets aren't limited to $50....I guess it comes down to the books greed.. however once more and more people catch on that this is no different than the WWE in that sense of being staged, I think the limits will increase

I've heard on TV Desmond Howard say he doesn't bet on the NFL.  I wonder why?

I'm in it to win it like Yzerman!

    @bluecompass

So pretending it’s on the up and up makes you feel that you’re not an idiot for betting?   Let’s say the nfl is all on the up and up and you’re watching last years TB and Atlanta game. It’s third down and Tb runs and comes up a clear yard short. We see the refs move the ball a yard during the break. What rule does that fall under? When can teams call in the move the ball a yard rule? Is it only at certain times or for certain teams? I mean if it’s all legit there must a rule that allows such a play right?

Uh, no, pretending has nothing to do with it.  The net profit I generate is what makes me feel like I'm not an idiot for betting.  Perhaps I'm subconsciously tuned into the script that doesn't exist... an_roll_laugh

I wonder if flat earthers and people who believe lizard people live in the center of the earth fight like this.  I mean by their rhetoric one has to be wrong yet they are so sure of themselves.  Point is all it takes is for a few articulate morons to persuade a few people that in turn persuade more.  Yup…the human race is getting dumber with technology.  That being said there is not a chance in Hades that a whole league is fixed.  Too big of a secret with too many big mouths that would want to expose it.  Has their been fixed games? Yes.  And most of those individuals have gotten caught or ratted out.  But to think a whole league is in on it would be ludicrous.  Vegas, NFL, etc already make plenty without doing it.  There is no need.  I mean….you see the guy betting on the Jets today in the forum?  There ya go!

My favorite quote by OP is “no circumstantial evidence”.

It’s mostly circumstantial evidence which is why the debate goes on. If you’re not questioning the legitimacy of the nfl after watching it for years, then you’re a moron! OP, I’m sorry but you are a moron and your write up is awful.

Due to circumstantial evidence there is no doubt in my mind that it is manipulated by the officials. The goal is to make the game entertaining. And are you not entertained when just about every prime time game comes down to the last play? Is that not enough for you to at least question the legitimacy of the game?

That’s what people want to see and that’s what the NFL gives us.

Common gamblers philospohy: When you lose, it's because it's rigged and scripted or got a bad beat,  when you win it's because you are smart and made a good pick.

What I don't get about the people that think it's scripted:  There is still only 2 sides to the event, if you think it's scripted, then you need to handicap what the scriptwriters are trying to do, not the game.  If you can't figure it out, then don't bet on it!

Just hilarious how people think it's scripted after the fact.   Confirmation bias at its finest.

IF games were being controlled, it's never at the player level.   Only very select coaches would be in on it that make play calls or substitutes or through the refs.     Bad coaching or bad reffing should not be confused with being scripted, though that's where manipulation would potenially happen

    ######################

Wrong. They've told you time and again.

Teams would script the first 15 plays or what ever. That's code/hint, for they script slot more than that.

They practice with the scout team that's supposed to do what the other team will do.

You need to be able to pay attention to the verbage. The hints

What’s hilarious is that we didn’t have ridiculous accusations that games where rigged until recently(2016). All these conspiracy theories and misinformation has really spread into the mainstream unfortunately. Critical thinking requires you to keep an opened mind but requires evidence to get to the truth. Without proof/evidence it simply isn’t true.

LMAO good lord you are brainwashed... Former players have come out and admitted to it, how much more evidence do you need... Do you have 2 eyes or are you blind? If Sports were real, the favorite would win 99% of the time and Vegas would have gone bankrupt decades ago...  But go on Google and type in Larry Johnson or Benny Cunningham then type says NFL is scripted... Or go on YT and type, Dwight Smith says NFL is scripted and then listen to his interview... Or if you are too  lazy to do that, here is the link... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TofGuOnLm0A&t=87s .... If you still deny it after 3 former pro players have come out and admitted to it being scripted, then you are just a lost cause...  But the funny thing is, people actually think it is impossible to script games when in reality, it is beyond easy..

Hahaha she tells you it is all rigged and morons still deny it and just call her salty cuz her hubby lost... Or remember Cena's monologue during the 2016's ESPY's where he basically said Sports are like the WWE and everyone just laughed at it and didnt take it serious... Morons that believe sports are real are programmed to believe everything they hear or see on Tell Lie Vision or the internet... I wonder how many of you clowns on here that believe sports are real also got the vaccine cuz the media told you to and clearly you are all sheep to what the MSM says..  BUt imagine betting on sports in the year 2021 thinking the games are real, hahahaha comical

Are college games scripted? How about High school football? Or maybe pee wee football is scripted. You can make a case for all levels of football because I’ve seen the same exciting endings and drama at all levels. Doesn’t mean it’s scripted. You can google flat earth or go on YouTube And get some very convincing theories but it doesn’t mean it’s true because there is more Evidence against it than for it. Have you ever stopped to think maybe your the one who is brainwashed?

    Pointless contradictions again.

Beating around the bush. No, you haven't seen the countless exciting finishes that happen on every week. It happens in real life very seldom.

It doesn't matter whether you call it scripted or fixed or what ever..the point is specific winners are chosen before games even start.
