San Diego -1 - The Bengals are notoriously horrid on the West Coast and only having to give a point to them is a gift in my opinion. San Diego is playing better and the Bengals are starting to drift back to the pack. This is my plaly of the month and I'm actually going to put even more on this than I should. Even if the Bengals win(and I don't think they will) San Diego is definitely the play. I'm serious fire away on this one and there should be no sweating it out.

I'd be careful with this play. Bengals have a top 10 D vs both the pass and the run. SD is a heavy pass team so Bengals off a bye week will have plenty of time to figure this game out. I personally dont think travelling to west coast is THAT big a factor for teams coming off a bye week but don't have any stats to support.

I'm on Bengals myself with this short line.

In my respectful opinion you two are nuts. I've been watching the Bengals since Ken Anderson was the qb, and I know that has nothing to do with this team, but I'm telling you year after year they play like garbage on the west coast. This sets up as an absolute great play(10 units for me) and would be more if I was up more on the year. The Bengals will be very flat to start this game off and by the time they start to figure out what to do on offense it's going to be too late. Mark my words Chargers win by at least 7 as Dalton will probably cough up a costly turnover in the 4th his team down by one or two scores. I've seen this play out too many times. Chargers are the play and large...whatever you can afford to lose

The problem with the Chargers is they're so inconsistent.  I know the Bengals will show up ready to play even though you don't think they will.  The Bengals are playoff caliber and they'll be focused.  The question is will the Chargers be ready?

This guy is breaking out the "I've been watching the bengals since Ken Anderson was QB"

That is going old school on all your a$$es!

Well rem, I've been watching SD intently for the entire Rivers era and I think they might be the most consistently underperforming team in the NFL during that time. That is saying a lot. Cincy may be brutal in WC trips but SD is brutal in big spots in general. Be careful backing them with any kind of serious money....

Chargers can be anything but the bottom line is, if they are on a 'going' day the Bengals simply won't keep up, specifically because Dalton isn't good enough to keep up. So yes, San Diego are inconsistent, but -1 is more than fair, especially given the fact they HAVE to win. I think they win by 10-14 points.

I took the Bengals +2 two weeks ago and I like the play. I have the Ravens to win the division at 10-1 and I've been on fire so the Bengals don't start losing until next week. :) lol

When a team like dal or sd beats a better team on their turf... They come home and get the shizznets kicked out of them... These teams do not give you back to back wins... Not this part of the season... Plus you need to play this with caution like what Scalabrine says... Watch the movement..

My favorite part of this thread is from people who have been watching the teams for many years and almost guarantee the team they watch will screw up the game more .

I myself am waiting for the Dalton long pass to the outside that is either incomplete or is intercepted . It makes me wonder if the coaches are not watching the tape or not taking notes . 

Btw what is the defensive injury situation on the Bengals ? Didnt they lose a key defensive player a few weeks ago ?

Geno Atkins out, Leon Hall out, Robert Geathers out, and Burfict(who I think is their best line backer questionable), plus a few others banged up. Their def is hurt and I'm telling you history tells you they are going to lay an egg. Not just because it's the west coast, but because it's a game they are supposed to win. They don't do that very often in the Marvin Lewis era. Good luck, but San Diego is the play and there is no doubt about it

Old school it is, but if you want to go new school you can't point to many, if any, games the Bengals have won in the Marvin Lewis era that they needed to solidify their playoff contention. San Diego is inconsistent, but the Bengals time and time again find ways to lose games they should win and to wreck any kind of momentum they can establish. San Diego is the play and large...good luck
