I think going for 2 when you dont need to, is a momentum thing.
Ravens were 2/8 going for 2 going into that try for starters, so it was a bad call in that regard.
They also had all of the momentum in the 4th with the comeback. You kick the XP, send it to OT and maybe get the coin flip to walk it off at home, or win it with a fg from the greatest kicker in the game.

What does that have to do with jim harbaugh's mind set at that moment. The answer is nothing.Coach felt it gave him the best chance to win.I believe most coach's would of extended the game with the momentum and the league's best kicker.

The line would reflect the success ratio of that particular play. And it would have been a favorite to be a success. So how is Harbaugh stupid for betting on the favorite???

"Most coaches" doing it means nothing. Zero.

I agree with that they should of kicked the extra point but the 2 point is not ruining the NFL.I actually love it and think it makes more interesting....hence this thread lol

BECAUSE IF YOU DO NOT GET IT, YOU LOSE THE GAME. IF IT WERE SMART FOOTBALL, EVERY COACH WOULD BE DOING IT IN THAT SAME SITUATION. IT IS NOT SMART FOOTBALL.

Lol.Most coaches does mean something. Its called my opinion based on the many times of seen coaches kick the extra point and win the game. The fact that Coach H is O for 2 doesnt hurt the logic.

Lets say they do make the 2pt conversion; they are up 1... I'd say the line for them to win wouldve been -125 to GB -105 since they had roughly 50 secs left.
That gives Rodgers the ball with 45 secs and a chance to win it with a good kicker after a kickoff was recieved.
A tie at least gives the idea of OT a larger chance..if Rodgers doesnt convert on the first play or two, they just knee it into OT and you have that scenario play out versus needing to drive down for a win...its completely different play calling.
You effectively took a play that didnt guarantee the win and could possibly make the chance of a loss 100% if you failed.
They failed.
I would rather lose in OT, than stop a full momentum comeback with a shitty 2PT conversion when you have a history of failed attempts 2/8 prior, 2/9 now.

Dawn. Those boys. Fought hard to comeback. Should have give them. The chance. To. Fiendish the game. I. Think. But hey if he make the 2 points. We may be having a different conversation. Shit. Sad when it doesn’t work

The noble thing is to go for 2 pt conversion cause they say it's the right thing to do but Harbaugh's record when he goes for two hasn't been stellar.. forgot the exact numbers but yea it's bad.. at what point do you just say enough is enough
Sip on that plus money honey!

Terrible decision.. either way you lose if Rodgers comes back and gets a fg.. if there's 5 seconds left I can maybe see it. Defense stopped them on 2 drives in the 4th.. Harbaugh is an idiot..
I had zero bets on this game, but it is funny packers spread and ravens ml both lose.. where do you think the money was at??
Books did well on this game..

2 PT conversions are actually not that hard. If you simply run it up the middle or do an outside pitch, your chances are easily over 55%. Ravens had the dumbest playcall ever tho. Roll out pass?

Green Bay had moved the ball at will the entire game up until those last two drives. They were up 2 TDs with 9 mins left, they were obviously more concerned about running clock than scoring again.
Huntley came up clutch when the game mattered, but if Green Bay had to score, they probably could have pretty easily.
I haven't seen a team pick up third downs repeatedly like that since Minnesota did that to Seattle a couple of months ago. Baltimore is on their practice squad secondary. It's a miracle Green Bay only put up 31 pts.

I would have put the line at -800 makes extra point, +200 makes 2 point conversion. Yes I know this is a very wide divergence. There just is no logic in going all in on 1 play when you are the home team trying to make the playoffs.
Quite often teams get down to 1st and goal from the 5 and do not make it. Big difference having 22 people in such a small area as opposed to say 4th and 2 from the 37.
