Yes I do. It is all about advertising dollars first and foremost. It is also not illegal for the NFL to control games as its considered an entertainment business. GB V Seattle would be a huge storyline aftter Touchception last season.

There are pretty much games each week from 1-17 that have been rigged. Can't be bothered to go through them all. I will give you one example though. Week 13 New Eng 34 Denver 31. Pats come back from 24-0 and win in OT with a FG from a muffed punt. LOL Yh rigggght!!!

Even if that were true, wouldn't SF vs. Seattle be bigger? They are doing their damndest to promote that "rivalry" this year. Plus for that to happen in the championship round you would get a Saints v Seattle matchup in the divisional, which would also be a rematch from the MNF game.
I just don't see how "games are rigged" automatically implies GB will beat SF.

Both are big storylines but San Fran had their time last year. They will be around for a while to battle with the Seattle. I feel GB V Seattle would have a lot of intrigue to it due to Touchception. I'm not saying GB will beat the 49ers. I just think there is more of a storyline if GB win and go on to face Seattle. it is a big time revenge matchup. San Fran and seattle see each other twice a year. We already know these games are going to be defensive low scorers. We already know Kap struggles at Century Link. GB V Seattle is more unpredictable.

Kalra, I've read and own every book imaginable associated with this. Half of the ones i read were actually on the plane to vegas... The book i enjoyed the most was written by an EX NFL player... Once you already believe that conspiracies happen,, i really do not recommend Brian Toughys Books... Because its like the conpiracy bible ,, i really didnt need that many classified facts to convince me... I see it on tv everyday... I just wanted to know how it was organized,, i find it being very genius... But others have said he's got alot of baalls writing something like that.. But i respect all their courage...

The only problem I see with the "fixers" is their records usually are around 50% when asked to pick through the course of a year. In other words, it doesn't really help them other than to feel better about themselves.

If you are from the west coast or up near seattle,, it may feel bigger.. Personally i think SEA-SF have played twice already... Seattle covers the spread with ease game 1 at home,, then SF wins the game in game two but didnt cover the spread,, so seattle backers won both games technically,, I had seattle in game two and i saw the running back purposely run out of bounds instead of running it in for a touch down... And the number landed right on 1 with a field goal.. Had Sf ran it all the way in they wouldve covered the spread... And get this,, no one was even close to stopping this play,, not within reachable distance...
So basically SF backers didnt get that bang for the buck on both games... To me,, SEA-GB rematch would be bigger because it digs up last years rematch... and its not your typical divisional rematch which we've had plenty of in week16-17,, and in week 17 there were a possible 13 teams or so that couldve made the playoffs,,, This is another genius thing,, the league did everything it could to keep herds of people glued to the screen all day sunday... Its like every game mattered either to the favorite or the underdog,,, as stated in another thread,,, its like the NBA STRETCHING the FINALS TO 7 GAMES,, only the NFL gets alot MORE TV money but they are able to accomplish this in ONE SUNDAY...

I held a consistent 65 percent win rate up until week 10,, as of the end of week 17,, im at about 60%... Keep in mind,, i play about 95% of the games on the board,, so its a very legit sample size...
In doing so i up very good this season,, but what matter most was what i've learned,,, There's an actual strategy when games are on the board.. They dont just randomely place 16 games on one page...

ULTIMATELY ,, SCHEDULES ARE DECIDED BY THE LEAGUE ITSELF,, IN DOING SO,, THERES NO SYSTEM WHERE SPECTATORS CAN MATHMATICALLY PREDICT... IT IS RANDOMIZED...SO THE LEAGUE LIKES TEAM A THEN TEAM A MIGHT GET A LIGTHER SCHEDULE,, AND WE SAVE THE LONG RIVALRIES FOR LATER AND SO ON... WHERE AS PLAYOFFS,, TOP SIX TEAMS FROM EACH CONFERENCE GETS TO GO TO THE PLAYOFFS... See the difference now?

I think you're misunderstanding what happened on that play. First of all Gore didn't go out of bounds. That was a key factor because it kept the clock running allowing SF to kick the field goal with only 26 seconds remaining, which wasn't enough time for Seattle to come back and score again. Allowing Gore to score on that drive would have given Seattle the ball back with a few minutes on the clock down by 6. So it worked in SF's favor for Gore to go down where he did. He also is not a fast RB, he's a power RB muscles out yardage, and no way is he gonna outrun Sherman and Thomas.

Take the Dallas game last week. Had Ortin carried the Cowboys to the playoffs that would have been a huge story. If he then won a playoff game after romo has failed time and time again, that would be close to the biggest story of the year.
Refs did everything they could except catch TDs for Ortin to let them win. How many Eagles drives did they kill with penalties? A lot. Blatant pass interference calls missed, no late hit on Foles at the end. Go back and watch it.
Cowboys on the other hand had 1 penalty for 5 yards on the clock malfunction which is out of the refs control. 1 penalty all game that shouldnt have happened. There have only been 40 instances since 1976 that a team had zero penalties called on them.....the fix was in

Schedules are pre-determined by an algorithm. You can determine a team's schedule for any future year you want, save for two teams that are determined based on division standings. But that part is still done with a pre-determined formula, you just need to wait and see where they finish first.

Sounds like they are pretty damn bad at fixing then.

By the way I'm not saying I'm disagreeing - I have no idea whether they fix games or not. I'm just challenging the idea in this thread because this is the kind of discussion you really need to think critically about.

Yh I agree with you. Gore did not go for TD as it would have gave Seattle too much time on clock. Your correct as well Gore is not a fast RB. He a old man these days. What I found suspect though was the fact up until that point Gore was not having the greatest season along with the overall San Fran run game. Gore had gimpy ankles most the season. I had not seen him rip of a big run like that in a while and to do it on Seattle was suspect. He cut back on that run and found a massive whole. Seemed like Seattle gave it to him. I was on San Fran ML that game so i was not complaining.

SF was losing at the time he stepped out of bounds... A simple touch down wouldve ran the clock all the way down anyways,, and the field goal wouldve been even closer in distance... If SF was winning and he ran out the clock its a different story..
