You call me simplistic while providing us with a stat of 30+ air passes to say Brady is a bad QB? 

Tom Brady can't throw a deep ball. Everyone knows it. You don't need to tell us that he can't do it. Nobody in this thread ever said that he can throw a deep ball. But you keep bringing this argument on the table in almost every comment. Tom Brady is a master in the below 15 yards range. That's why your YAC comments as a critics of Tom Brady don't make any sense.

I will leave you alone with your opinion about Brady. It's a team sport and QB is the most important position. Tom Brady is a great QB and he makes those short passing schemes work. He makes quick decisions and puts his receivers in good positions to collect those yards after catch.  This was also the reason why the Patriots had a good chance of beating the Seahawks in the Super Bowl. Maybe you gonna realize it at some point.

But I want to give you some last few facts about your never-ending YAC and air yards stuff to get an answer for.

Tom Brady has thrown more air yards than the league's average in each of those six years.

He also finished in the top-12 in throwing air yards in each of those six years.

Those are just total yards. Take it for what it's worth.

There is also a category "percentage of yards after catch" to total passing yards. So you can see how many of those total yards were yards after catch.

2014: Brady ahead of Rodgers, Rivers, Stafford, Luck, Roethlisberger

2013: Brady ahead of Brees, Ryan, Rivers, Roethlisberger, Rodgers and Luck

2012: Brady ahead of Rodgers and Rivers

Tom Brady gets a lot of his passing yards after catch, as I explained above - putting his receivers in good positions by making quick decisions. But in all of the last three seasons, Aaron Rodgers and Philip Rivers had a higher percentage of their passing yards made AFTER CATCH than Tom Brady. Just an example.

I'm looking forward to reading your thread in week 2, explaining why Jimmy Garoppolo will not get eaten alive by the Buffalo Bills' d-line.

You envious Brady haters are always talking about a weak division they are in.

Last year 2014... there were 3 divisions with less wins by the remaining 3 teams than the AFC east. .....

The AFC South, the NFC South, and the NFC east.

in 2013, there were  4 .

....the NFC east, the NFC north, the NFC south, the AFC north, the AFC south

in 2012 there were 2.  The AFC south and the AFC west.

 

So I don't want to hear your bellyaching about weaker divisions anymore.

The whole league is a joke  and it's a 3 game championship in a Rinky Dinky Stinky league

Stop making it out likes it's a big deal if it wasn't for gambling and fatasy football no one would care about the NFL .

AFC East is not the weakest division, not by a long shot. Brady is the BEST EVER.  In time history will overwhelmingly bear this out.

No need to outrun the bear...just the next slowest guy

Their legacy is tarnished with all the reports of cheating.  Early 2000s, I would have agreed - Patriots were hardworking, well coached, and tenacious.  Tom Brady came out of nowhere and led them to some seriously great wins.

These days that coach, the staff, and the players involved really would do anything to win - which to me doesn't equate to a legacy really worth celebrating, if it's built on a foundation of cheating and lying.

MYSTICRICH here are some facts. I am still waiting for a true response that does not include an assumption of Garoppolo winning games.

Pats were hands-down the best team in  their era, and one of the greatest ever, yes they are in the conversation.

But we must consider the era.

All those wins for Brady and the Pats is a product of the era.

Beginning shortly after free-agency began in 1993 the better teams began winning more games and continued winning more games than in the previous period.

One only needs to look at how many teams win 11, 12 , 13 wins each season. It is very close to double the number of teams prior to free-agency on ave each season.

We are talking double folks, that is how much easier it is for teams to win in Brady's era, that is not being a hater just an informed person making a rational logical sense of it.

To not consider this shows lack of understanding the different eras or bias and maybe both.

It is way more in Brady's era, because what free-agency appears to have done is make it far easier to win more games for the better teams.

When we look at what Joe Montana did in SB's , he darfs Brady in QBPR in the biggest game of the year and the 9ers as a team far and away beat the expectations put on them, going 3-1 ATS while Brady and the Pats are 2-4 ATS, losing to the expectations.

I saw all the teams from the 70's on and the best would be 70's Steelers and 80's 9ers with Cowboys 90's  the Pats coming in next..

If you want to talk longevity then the Pats have done it over a long period. 

If you want to talk who'd win a big game in SB, I'd take any one of those 3 teams best team over the Pats best team.

Interesting the Pats 1st  SB win in 2001 and last in 2014 with 9ers 1st in 81 and their last in 94. 

The same period but the Pats played in an era which made winning more games each season much easier.

No one does this. We all know that the Pats have had an easier schedule with the AFC East being weak for several years. But other teams have made the playoffs with 11+ wins in a cupcake division and they don't even make it to the Super Bowl.

NFL is a team sports with QB being the most important position. There is a reason why bad QBs don't win Super Bowls except for Trent Dilfer once in a time. And to say Tom Brady is a bad QB because he has a weak accuracy on 20+ throws is just nonsense. Or to say the Packers would be 4-12 with Tom Brady. If it's so easy to throw 5-15 yard passes why don't the other QBs do that? Every offense has a certain system. The combination of QB play, playbook & receivers makes up for success. And the Pats have done well in the past and in the end he will have atleast 4 rings on his hand.

I guess every Saints fan would rather have seen one more Super Bowl win in the past 9 years than a good accuracy on 20+ throws.

TB is winning Super Bowls. Alex Smith and the Chiefs are on a 11-game winning streak but no one hates on their short passing game. It's called efficiency. But if the Pats are efficient and throw short passes, TB is overrated. That's laughable.

In 2012, Colin Kaepernick had the best accuracy on deep passes, in 2013 it was Case Keenum. Who cares?

Don't confuse a  QBs performance with a team result 

He only went 13 of 15 for 124 yards and 2 TD's in the 4th quarter against the best defense in the NFL to take the lead in the SB. Nothing to see here.

Being a Giants fan I have no qualms with the Pats so I'll freely speak my mind. 

The TB BB connection IS the dynasty that is the Patriots. I've never seen such dynamic play calling, such unpredictability, and such execution from any team ever.

Call them cheaters, but they don't need to cheat to win anything, they've more than proven themselves, Sure you can hate them but you gotta respect them as well.

Isn't strange that in baseball you can steal second base, and steal signals and yet called a great team. In football you steal a signal your not a good team.  

In baseball they can make the ball lighted so it will fly farther to score more in order to bring in more fans. Doesn't matter if it breaks the Babe's record, just as long as more fans attend the game.  

In the game of football, if a football is only one pound PSI less, you call them cheats. YET the Atlanta Falcons can pipe in Fake Crowd noise and it's not a big deal.

To me, anyone who says the Patriots are cheats, it's obviously total jealousy and sour grapes.

Yes Brady and his coach are good. But they are not the,best. SHULA IS,STILL THE BEST EVER. He has the most wins. He has the perfect season. Brady in my eyes,is,still tied with Montana as,best.

He was a great QB, regardless of the coach.  Brady and Belichick have a symbiotic thing
