-Tested out a new o-line yesterday while working in several rusty players (Looking at you Lafell)
-Jets are legit this year, especially their defense.
-Brady still managed to put up 30 points and this was a poor performance by the offense.
Miami yesterday
-Ran the score up on the biggest trainwreck of the year yesterday. (Although the circus in up in Buffalo may give Houston a run for its money.)
-Gave up 26 Points to Houston. I don't care if the games over, professional athletes play for 4 quarters.
The biggest mismatch Thursday is the coaching. Bill Belichick vs. a tight end coach in his 3rd week of pro coaching. If you aren't going to bet the Patriots please do not bet this game. Miami is still a disaster, their QB is still Ryan Tannehill and they're going to New England on 4 days rest.
I would compare Miami's recent burst of success to blasting a line of coke at a party when you'e on the verge of passing out. Your buddy (Dan Campbell) walks in and notices you're going down for the count. He gives you a bump and you wake up and think you're on top of the world. You're the king of the party for about 20 minutes before you crash and burn for the rest of the night. Miami's 20 minutes ends Thursday night in New England.
The tandem of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady vs. a fucking tight end coach and some mediocre stiff. Don't buy into the Dolphins recent success, its a fluke and its over.

Literally the easiest pick of the year.

I'm a pats homer but i have to agree. I think the line is going to drop the next day or two since "pats suck as DD favs, divisional game" and sharp money will hammer pats the day before. I know they're not DD favs but at 7.5-9 its 2 scores. People will be fooled by MIAs recent success but against TENN & HOU I'm not impressed. I think MIA is harnessing their talent around them but they aren't as efficient as they were yesterday. Their defense can be run on and thrown on and i thought the jets D matched up better than MIAs does, both in terms of talent and preparation.

LOL. I think Miami has a better shot than you, but the above paragraph is pretty funny and perhaps quite accurate as well. I guess we will see!

I'm *leaning* Pats Spread too, so not disagreeing with your post. But:

You're up 44 points going into the 2nd half on Sunday ... On Thursday you're playing the Patriots on the road. You're telling me you push your team to the limits in the 2nd half and go into Thurs more banged up than you'd have to be? With a 44 point lead going into the 2nd half??

The game was over at half time no doubt. I understand garbage points but 26? That's a red flag. This means that the dolphins lack depth or are fine with going into sleep mode a week before their regular season Super Bowl against the Patriots.

I feel like this guy has to be trolling. If anything, the Dolphins have a great chance of covering +7.5. They're extremely confident and yes, they waxed a couple of weak teams but do you think the Pats are suddenly going to shut them down? Their D isn't good enough to do that.

Did you watch the MIA game? Any of the games this season or last? They're very talented on both sides of the ball and special teams.
Preseason they looked great on paper and are actually playing up to that potential now. Last year, they beat the Pats for 6 quarters of football and won by 2 scores in game 1. This year the Dolphins are a much better team than last season, talent wise...The Pats, despite their record have a less talented roster.
Aside from QB and TE, I think the Dolphins have the stronger roster and can actually win the game.
16-0 record and flawless ATS spread is pretty impossible to do. Keep in mind the Dolphins stopped playing 100% max effort at halftime which led to the Texas scoring so much in the 2nd half. The PATS were in a street fight all 4 quarters and failed to cover the spread. My two cents, good luck

Patriots 41 Dolphins 13 less than a year ago. Stop drinking the Dan Campbell Kool Aid. I understand the hesitation of pounding a two score cover but do you guys really think the dolphins keep this within a touchdown...in New England...with a TE coach preparing for arguably the greatest QB/Coach Tandem of all time? Patriots or no play.

Yes, I watched that game last season and remember it being 14-13 at half time. Pats were in a good spot at home trying to clinch the division and the Dolphins were a less talented team, depleted on D and were blown out in the 2nd half. MIA in game 1, September 2014 were at 100% health and were still utilizing Lamar Miller and had a healthy #2 WR in Hartline (less talented than Still and Landry) and were down 20-10 at halftime. They turned the ball over 3 times in that game and still won 33-20, scoring 23 unanswered points and totally shutting down the same QB/Coach combo.

Not drinking any kool aid, just over here sippin iced tea watching money pour in on the Patriots off a tough matchup in a short week.
It doesnt matter if he's a tight end coach if the players, especially Suh, believe he's got the nuts and guts to get them a wild card spot and knock off the hated Patriots. A lot of players are back from last season and remember that 2nd half blow out costing them their playoff dreams. The Pats O-line now has to deal with a better defensive front 7 and the best rushing attack they will have seen all season. I havent made a play yet, but in my opinion its Dolphins or no play if the spread keeps going up. Good luck to everyone on your plays, just be weary that "if its too good to be true...."
...if Vegas anticipated the public backing the Dolphins in a 100% Pats lock situation, theyd have set the spread at -3.5- 4.5 and drop it to -3 to lure more money on the MIA side. Opening it 7.5 means that the Dolphins have a 50% chance of staying within a TD in their eyes.

-Tested out a new o-line yesterday while working in several rusty players (Looking at you Lafell)
-Jets are legit this year, especially their defense.
-Brady still managed to put up 30 points and this was a poor performance by the offense.

Did you watch these games?
How about the TD drops by Cumberland and Marshall?
How about Chris Ivory injuring his harmstring pre-game? His absence put Fitzpatrick in a lot of difficult third down situations.
How about Calvin Pryor and Sheldon Richardson leaving, Buster Skrine being in and out with a shoulder injury?
How about the different matchup this Thursday against a disruptive 4-3 front that has the red hot Suh/Wake tandem lining up against rookies?
The Jets could have dropped 30 points very easily with Ivory being 30% and the Dolphins offense is even more explosive.
They didn't run up the score against the Texans. After the first quarter their play-calling was pretty vanilla and after 42 points they kept it easy. Their defense gave up 26 points because they had the 2nd string on the field and the Texans had nothing to lose.

Suuma actually has a brain and everyone should read his post. Same with TheForbes777.
I feel like a lot people on this forum just watch ESPN highlights of these games and then just make their bets and say GUARANTEED LOCK OF THE YEAR NO WAY IT LOSES ALL IN ON THE -99.5 SPREAD.

You guys logic is so flawed, sure they beat the Texans and Titans, but its not like they barely beat them, they crushed those terrible teams, like a good team is supposed to do btw. Dolphins +7.5 locked in

Pats haven't covered a spread in two weeks. Dolphins have covered two straight in blowouts.
Now they go on the road against the Pats.
I don't like the spot of the Dolphins. Everyone is going to look at that 41-0 halftime score and fawn, but this is the NFL. A team that blows someone out the next week can lose by two TDs the next.

I think this is a correction game for both teams.

It poured hard in south florida that day. I cannot give them credit for a quality win. give me the Pats -7 (-125) at home on the short week against the interim head coach. Faded the Pats the last two week catching double digits, its time to jump back on the gronky-kong trai
