Next Saturday night, Peacock will exclusively broadcast first ever NFL Playoff games.
January 13, second game of the Wild Card playoffs is only carried by Peacock, a streaming service of NBC Network. Last time that I checked, $5.99/month subscription is required, cancelled anytime. NBC will also have show the game FREE for the local markets from two teams playing.
Let's say if Rams playing Dallas, both Los Angele and Dallas area will have NBC stations to watch it for free.

I worked in a sports bar tending bar for about 30 years, when I started dealing with Satellites in 1991 everything was free. We had Ku band for AFC and C band for NFC games, Ku was tuff as it was a small bandwidth to find.
The only reason we are not paying already is Streaming channels are giving them the way to do it as people are already paying for those services. Like I said in 91 all games were free, within 3 years we were paying cable for games. We went from free to 10 grand a month and after Covid they never re-open that bar.
Comcast used to give Peacock free and wanted to charge this year but they have a section in contract that said your deal is good for 2 years, so I have free Peacock for this year and next. After the 2 years I have to start paying but NOT ME, I PAY ENOUGH ALREADY.

I feel it for you, NFL demands more bucks from the viewers. It used to be free for us by watching NFL football games for longtime, not anymore. Starting from Amazon Prime's TNF to Peacock's Wild Card game, now we will have to pay per view in some games.
