I like the pick and analysis. I've also been keying on this game.
I saw the Jets game. Geno threw 3 interceptions in his own zone, including one for a TD. That was the ball game, because the Jets aren't a catchup team. They prefer to run the ball.
Divisional matchup. I'll take the points at +10.
Jets tend to keep games close, and end up losing. Rex Ryan and the Jets have dealt with terrible luck and aren't nearly as bad as their record.
Reid isn't a guy to run up the score. KC runs the ball as much as they throw it, and the Jets have great run defense. Secondary is suspect.
Last Jets game I picked was the Pats game, and the Jets covered. So I hope to get it right again.
I still haven't confirmed I'm on it, as I still have time. But leaning that way.
Good luck, whoever your'e on.

Just when you finally have a winning weekend, you are back to backing J E T S trash..? How many times are you going to waste money on this team this season? KC is fire @ home, Vick just wants to chill and collect a sideline check.. expect many more NY turnovers and a defense/special teams or 2 from Kc..Won't be pretty. GL.

The bible states: "Seek ye not trouble"....this fits when I even consider taking the Jets. Proverbs states never get in between a fool and his folly...Jets?????????Gee, no thanks.

Yes I saw the game with the jets last week. Not sure why ppl are so scared since they had 6 turnovers. That's a good thing. Teams that commit that many turnovers at home are absolutely money the next week against the spread. Jets actually fit a ton of my systems this week. Also read some notes about arrowhead being a tough stadium to play in, maybe on primetime but not in the morning. Chiefs just 4-7 ats at home under Coach Reid. Jets have a terrible secondary, but the Chiefs win games by running the ball. Jets have a great rush defense.
Only thing holding me back from a larger ML play is Reid facing his former QB. Everything else is a greenlight for me.
Good hit on the Saints last night BB
Steelers will get stomped on SNF

For a rookie head coach preparing for a big game like that just 4 days later will always be in the back of your mind, despite having another game right in front of you.
nitpicking but... who's the rookie head coach? mike mccoy?

GL LC. I respect your style of capping, and I'm a guy who is always on lots of ugly teams(love Jax +11 this week), but i also know when its time to say ENOUGH when it comes to certain teams and the Jets are one of them.
Over the years I've seen a lot of guys DROWN betting bad teams. Guys who were great cappers with a lot of success in the past....who just kept getting buried deeper and deeper in a specific season capping and betting like they always did. Sometimes you just gotta back off a little bit. Not saying you have to change everything about your style of capping, but maybe take 3 or 4 of the worst and put them on a do not bet list. Still leaves you a lot of bad football teams to find good spots on, but at least the worst of the worst are out of the way. Last year early on, I took a few shots on Jax when I realizec they are possibly the worst team I've ever laid eyes on as long as Gabbert was QB. By week 4, they were on my do not beg list and it took a +26.5 spread with Denver to scratch them off.
Sorry for babbling. I lean Jets myself, but just can't back them after that mess last Sunday. I hope u cash though!

Believe it or not, the time to back teams is after big messes, the bigger the better.
Why ? Simple, the bigger the mess the more focus and attention to detail the coaches and players will put into practice coming into next week.
Sometimes it takes a huge mess to grab a teams attention to do this, that's why the bigger the mess the better ..........

Regarding trends from the Covers matchup: Jets are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. Jets are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss. Jets are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a SU loss of more than 14 points. Chiefs are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game. Chiefs are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
But we have the following to explain these trends: Jets are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. Chiefs are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
What it doesn't explain though is this one: Chiefs are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.

L.C i am a jet fan and i have backed the jets every week on the they are gonna eventually going to cover a spread theory. I am a jets fan and last week was there biggest game in a must win a situation at home and they completely blew it. the most embarrassing game i have ever seen since the buttfumble.
While i think you are on the right side this week i just can not watch or back this team anymore. There turnovers will fck over the spread. and vick always looks lost when hes in the game i would rather have geno for this game. BOL

Oh Claw, i agrree with you 100%. I respect League Capper and I always browse his threads because he's a good capper AND I enjoy reading his writeups. He always came off to me as a guy who was more of a situational capper, and that sometimes leads to betting a lot of ugly teams and ugly cards.
I know over the last couple of years, LC is a steady winner, but he's jumped out to a horrible start, and I see a lot of taking those same bad "teams" over and over again. Sometimes IMO you just gotta suck it up and avoid certain teams. I'm a guy who bets a lot of unpopular ugly plays(lol I have Jax +11 and TB +7 as two of my three bets this week), and over the years I've learned after two horrible showings........back off those chumps.
Not to bash LC. Much respect for him. Just throwing him my 2 cents because I know he has gotten off to a slow start.
LC. Claw.

Just a little FYI. Vick was incarcerated at Leavenworth pen. About 40 minutes from arrowhead. You gotta think that would be in his head to get rid of some demons as well. Not on either side yet just thought I'd put that out there.

The Chiefs just put together two big wins since losing to the 49ers – they beat a hot Chargers team on the road, and steamrolled through the Rams by 27. One would think there clicking on all cylinders, but I don’t see there wins as impressive at all.
First the Chargers game. SD was in a terrible spot that game. They were about to face the hottest team in the NFL that sits atop their division, a Broncos team that also eliminated them from the playoffs - just 4 days later. For a rookie head coach preparing for a big game like that just 4 days later will always be in the back of your mind, despite having another game right in front of you.
This past weekend, the Rams were playing just a week after a huge home win that was a must-win to stay in their division race – beating the defending superbowl champs. The Rams still started off with a 7-0 lead against KC, but lost 3 offensive lineman for the game shortly after. After that point, they didn’t score a single point. Not only was the Rams in a terrible spot, but they had to endure in-game injuries to the most important piece of a team when playing a rookie QB. The Chiefs went on to blowout the Rams scoring 34 straight, but it wasn’t as impressive as it seems as the Rams couldn’t convert first downs after their injuries.
The Jets. NY was in a must-win game last weekend. They were on a 6 game slide after losing to divisional leading Patriots, and now had to face another divisional opponent a week later. They brought in Percy Harvin in a way to say this season isn’t over yet, despite being 1-6. Eric Decker even said they still had a shot of the playoffs. That was absolutely a must-win game for the Jets. One thing you can always say about must-win games, good teams can and will show up (sup Saints?), but bad teams in a must win situation will fall flat on their faces, especially at home. Geno Smith and Mike Vick are QBs that no one believes in, and had to carry their team in front of thousands of fans in a must-win. We all saw what happened.
With that loss, the Jets know their season is over, and can finally play without any pressure. I fully expect the Jets to win this game straight up - playing away from home with no pressure against a team that is perceived as playing a lot better than they really are. Let’s not forget the Jets were within a touchdown to Peyton Manning until the last seconds of the game, and took the Patriots to the brink of a victory as well.
I was planning on putting 1.5x on the ML until Rex idiot named Vick as the starter. Geno Smith is terrible, but he’s the better QB for this game. Vick will be facing Andy Reid who he played for while in Philadelphia. Big Bird will definitely know some of Vick’s tendencies and what he struggles the most against. For that reason, I’ve downgraded the ML play just a tad.
Jets +10 -120 (5x)
Jets +400 (0.5x)
I am also on the Ravens for 4x. Will post rest of the card soon.
I've said this for 10 years the Jets are my hex so here we go, $5 on the Jets and if they cover you are my hero.
