No team consistently puts pressure on Brees.  The Cowboys got to him on missed Saints assignments...untouched. 

Whats with all this Minny D love?  Just because they just stomped the Cowboys?  Have we forgotten the Minny D against the Bears?  Panthers? Even the 49ers moved the ball on them.

I say the Saints will put more pressure on Favre just from the fact that they have a better secondary, than Minny puts on Brees with their pedestrian secondary allowing quick throws.

7, by game time?  unless AP or Favre are not playing, I dont know why this would go up!  Why do you think it will go up.??  What has saints done to be favored by a TD over a Minnesota team that just beat the shit outta the team that beat the shit outta the saints at home?  I wont hold my breath.

The money will come in on Minny that's for sure, they are the better defensive team.  This just may be the year for the Saints, though !!!!  If the line does move to 5 or more I'll jump on the Purple People Eaters ...... BOL

I am thinking the money will come in on Minny.  Hopefully -3 buy to -2.5 on the Saints.  LOL noway podna that lines moves that much.  Been doing this for 20 plus yrs and never saw a line move that much unless a key player was out.  Then it still wouldnt move that much

What is with all the misinformation...the more I look the more I like Minne.  All their losses were on grass and their only disadvantage is New Orleans ability to score 2 pts per game more and force INTs.  But, Favre leads the league in passer rating and has the fewest INTs of all remaining playoff QBs and only 1 multi INT game.

Minne was better in yards rushing allowed, yards passing allowed, lead the league in sacks, and forced fumbles.  Bush and Brees will put it on the ground.

NO is 22nd against the run and overmatched here in that department.  If playoff games come down to turnovers and running the ball this one stacks up heavily in the Vikings favor.  Perhaps Brees can get rolling and make it about something else but, the consistent parts of a game seem to all favor the Vikings.

I know your not serious about the line being at -7. If somehow you are I'll give you 500-1 odds that it does not happen. 5dimes has it at Saints -3.5

I'm not saying THIS line will move but we all just saw the line move 5-6 points in the AZ/GB game two weeks ago knowing Boldin was out when the line was established.

The guy chokes when it's on the line just like Rivers has and always will. When it gets to this level, the guy doesn't have the skills or charter to lead his team to a championship. It will NEVER happen in NO so long as they have Brees as their fearful leader.

Farve = Proven, time-tested champion holding virtually every QB record there is to hold save for being (I believe it will be the only) QB to win two superbowls with two diff teams and will he also set the record as the oldest QB to win a super as well?
You don't think the NFL has some vested interest in seeing this play out for Farve like a story book?

Furthermore, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the matchup be Vikings vs. Jets with Farve knowing their offense and defense inside and out - kinda like that lopsided Tampa Bay / Oakland game when Gruden left.

Vikings - ML - wont need the points

The Vikings have a much better rush defense than the Saints and a better passing defense. Not sure where you get that their secondary is a joke, they have better numbers than the Saints in yards and yards per catch for the year and had enough talent that they didn't offer a contract to Sharper, who has had another good year playing for New Orleans. No question who has the better defensive line. As for the Cardinals having a beter offense than the Vikings, the Vikes were 2nd to the Saints in points scored this season and have a great running back who should exploit the Saints defense, and the 2nd rated passer in the NFL this year in Farve. That being said, the Saints at home have been better than the Vikes on the road, but Minny seems to play great on turf going 11-0 so far this season. This should be a great battle, but I think Peterson and the Viking pass rush could be enough to give Minny the edge between two good teams.

Whats different about Minnesota's defense from last year to this year?  Any major personnel changes?  Coaching changes?  I just watched the Vikings/Saints game from week 5 last year, and the great Minnesota D couldn't handle the Saints offense.  Bush ran wild besides the 2 punt returns.  Vikings only sack came from a corner blitz from Winnfield, who won't be playing Sunday. 

It's one of the wierdest games I've seen, but the Saints should have blown them out by 2 TDs.

Wow look at all the Saint love here! I mean wow they beat NE on Monday night and everyone thinks the Saints are the real deal!. I know they are good but, sorry Minny is just better!

 

One guy said the Vikings gave up a lot of points on their losses well dud the Saints lost 3 in a row and couldnt score on TB, DAL and CAR!! Well they scored but not a lot! After they beat NE it really has been down hill for the Saints. Ya they just beat AZ but Warner was hurt and AZ does not have a D like Minny does!

Really the regular season is over and doesnt mean a lot now. Remember AZ last year getting their ass beat the last 5 weeks of the season to go on and make it to the SB, where they should have beat Pitt but thats another story.

 

Both the Vikings and Saints had bad games at the end of the season bu who cares they both were going to the playoffs so it didnt matter much. Now we have to look at who has the weapons and who can take the pressure.

I saw the Vikings last week win even tho every penalty was aginst them! I see the Vikings with all stars at all the right places. RB, QB, DE, DB and OL!! The Vikings are the bet here!

This line will go to 4 1/2 and never any higher.    Saints defense is very opportunistic and great at stripping the ball, besides being healthy.  No way Minn. keeps up with the Saints.   Saints and the under all the way.    I thought this line would be about 3 did"nt you?, So 4 or higher looks to be a trap by Vegas.

Your last paragraph shows you really don't know football kid and only go with the big names.  You can go for the +4.5, but not the ML kid.  Saints are the better TEAM.

can you people stop comparing reg. season with the postseason.

GB finished the season winning 6 out of last seven look what happend.

Jets were lucky to make the playoffs.  Cincy will crush them.  look what happened.

SD won 11 straight, no way they lose the the lowly Jets.  look what happed.

ARZ stumbled into the playoffs last year and they made it the SB.

No question Brees can pick apart our secondary.  But it's all about protection.  Remember the mighty Pats in the SB.  Brady couldn't do shit without protection.

yes we lost to the lowly Panthers and Bears, but at least we didn't lose to the all mighty Bucs at home.

who handed you your first loss ?
