Would it be possible for Covers to create a tread where only qualified members could post. By that I mean only those who have proven their selves by obtaining a "Streak" of 10+ or a similar qualification. I enjoy reading these posts, some are funny, some get a little silly. However, most of these "predictors" seem to be just pulling picks from a hat.

I'm pretty certain that's not possible. Just like with anything in life though: make sure you do your own due diligence before taking anyone else's word or advice for something. You should always know your line and why. :)

You make a good point. A popular betting adage says "bet against the public" I've found that this contrarian philosophy works well in the stock market too.

Sporch, good idea, but the problem is the guys who use fake lines, cheat on their records (like lagamebyinches, the worst of the lot) and/or the guys who keep a record but not units and use a -200 play that loses but only count it as 1 loss (again, like lagame) making their record illegit
Like Tammy said, anyone who tails - do your due diligence.

My best streak was 13. I won a hoodie. As for 24 posts, well I guess I'm just a quality over quantity guy. That's why I started this tread. To weed out all those coin flippers and just get some intelligent conversation.

From what I hear on golf, and other pods, sobet might be the place for you versus Covers. Check it out. They do most of the things you're looking for. They do track win streaks but 10 in a row is a bit much. I'm sue that was just an example number for simplicity sake.
BOL this season!

I'm not claiming to be a quality guy, I'm just looking for quality posting vs. the usual fluff. My longest streak is 13, it's easy to look up on this site. I really don't think that's unusually high, I never finished in the $$$. (I have won several hats and a money clip in various contests on this site.) I'm not looking for easy answers either, just clever, and intelligent conversation.

Hello - have you used sobet - looks interesting - possibly couldnt hurt to come up with your bets and vet against people with a good record but probably can easily find people with good records on both sides of your bet. Killersports was like that for me, found a trend that says team A will win but could find another trend that team B would win
