It will be very interesting to see the effect of legalized sports wagering on lines for the home teams that have sports gambling.
Jets, Giants, Eagles, and Raiders.
Anyone think the rest of the country will see some skewed lines because of this?

Reno I believe is usually a half point shaded towards the Niners compared to Vegas.
I'd have to imagine if there is any sharp action they will take the opponent more often than not if there is value.

Only a few "sharps" are left standing as any season comes to its later stages...most people have gone broke by halfway thru the season

I made the Yanks around -185.
I took KC +2.5(+105) and +1.5(+170)
Ridiculous value
KC won 10-5.

Just circling back to this....
I have talked to a few people that are on the "inside" that I really respect, and all of them think this is real and going to happen, and that it won't be limited to the areas of the bets (NJ, Philly etc). Meaning that the lines in those places wont be isolated to those places - it will have a bleedover effect to the rest of the world.
One guy said to me "don't look for any value on the Eagles, Giants, or Jets this year..."
I am not necessarily sure yet, but will be interesting to watch.

For week 2:
Miami at NYJ
As most of you know, Betonline is the first book to open, and 5dimes follows shortly there after.
The line opened a pk...think about that. On a neutral field the books think the Fish are 3 pts better. If they are or not is a whole other conversation.
The lines went down for the Monday night game vs the Lions, and we all saw what happened.
Line now is Jets -3 w/ some -3.5's out there.
You can't tell me that east coast $ doesn't hammer the Jets here.
Thoughts?

Sharper bettors will be largely unfazed by the proliferation of legal brick and mortar shops. When you need a number and need it now, you will stick with the online books that cater towards winning bettors.
