That is the question. He shouldn't really have to do too much if the Raiders can get the running game going. I think Broncos will be looking to load the line most of the game though so pressure will be on this guy. I don't see him doing too much but if he doesn't turn the ball over more than once I'd say Oakland has a fighting chance.

That's my 2-cents...

Hard to say cause denvers offense is garbage.. all raiders have to do is score more than 10 to win

I think the Raiders have a better chance of winning with McGloin than Denver does with Paxton. Raiders also have a better running game with the 3 headed monster. Could be a field goal battle. Really curious to watch this one. Hope Raiders win and retain control of the division.
If their OC can devise a gameplan of short passes, dump offs, I think they have a chance.

In Raiders' game against Colts,  Raiders had 33 points when Carr was injured.  They still had 33 points at the end of the game.  In their game against the Panthers, McGloin had 2 offensive series.  In one he turned the ball over.  In the other he went 3 and out.  Raiders may get shut out in Denver.  Denver lost 3 in a row. They don't lose 4 in a row.

 Denvers offense has turned for the worst.. havent scored more than 10 points in last 3 games with 1 being at home.. 
Raiders on other hand only really rushed when carr went out on both those games.. mcgloin will get to try and get a feel for whole game rather than the little time he was in..if i had no choice id go with the under and oak..  cant trust that horrid offe in denver..  just my 2 cents

From both a strategic and psychological standpoint, you'd think Oakland will make a point of it to win without Carr and lock up that 1st round bye.  That would go a long way toward improving their chances that they can play long enough for a possible SB return for Carr.

Denver has been stumbling to the finish line for weeks and I'm not sure they've got a good enough team right now to even hold serve at home in their final game. 

It's a risky game to bet to be sure, but if push comes to shove I like the Raiders to get it done in Denver.  The best bet here is likely the UNDER.  Cooper and Crabtree are still banged up, making it even tougher for a backup to get the ball to them vs. Talib and Co.

McGloin is actually a serviceable backup. Raiders will beat Denver IMO...

NOBODY passes on that Denver Passing Defense, let alone a backup inexperienced dolt...    the only thing that Oakland can try is run, run, run...   doubt that will work either...  true that denver's Off is in shambles, but my prediction is that the Den Def will score points and defeat the Raider without any offensive output...

btw, it PAINS me to say this cuz i hate the Broncos..  but it is what it is

Did u watch the first raiders/broncos game?  Carr did nothing, they just run the ball down broncos throat for over 200 yards.  There is no reason why they won't do it again.

Went 0 - 1 vs Carolina 
2 3 for 29 yards last week
Never asked to do much. Game plan will be the same vs Denver regardless of QB.

Tough to make a case for a back up but I'll do my best
McGloin started 7 games his first year playing for a very bad Raiders team in 2013. 55% completion percentage and 8/8 TD/Int ratio. Could be worse for a first year QB. Been a clipboard jockey ever since. Knows the system and gets the start against a D the Raiders ran hard against earlier this year. Same game plan regardless of QB. 
TJ Ward, Derek Wolfe and Demarcus Ware are Out. 
Both SeimIan and Lynch will platy QB this week for a team eliminated from the playoffs. Won't be the only position the bench riders get a few looks. 
Who's the best QB in this game? Yes, it's Matt McGloin as the Denver QB's would be fighting for 3rd string snaps on this Raiders team behind Carr and McGloin. 
Best QB, team fighting for playoff position, opposing team defense beat up, bad QB handing reigns over to true rookie QB, Denver guys will be trying to avoid injury and a terrible Bronco running game.

At this point I would call McGloin against Semian and Lynch a saw off but the Raiders have the way better Oline and running game and its not even close. As mentioned Denver's D is banged up and are ranked 29th against the run. Raiders have the best Oline in football when healthy and will run all over Denver in this game. McGloin doesn't have to be a star in this game but just stay away from mistakes.

You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.

all he has to do is run the ball and oak d can stop a shittier den off then oak lands without carr.... also i doubt denver plays their top defenders all game...they have nothing to play for and it hinkwould rather just lose this game and hopefully get a better draft position

It truly would take one of those NFL game miracles for a McGloin QB lead Oakland Raiders to beat the Denver Broncos in Denver for last game of the year. It would take all kinds of crazy plays leading to Raiders defense scoring points while also stopping Denver from scoring. It's certainly possible, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Of course there is a reason.

Carr did nothing but the run game if buffered by a good passing game because they drop players back.

That's not there now.
