Dude are you an idiot i was reasoning the trend jezzuz wake up.WHEN HANDICAPPING ALOT OF IT IS THEORY
PTB -i'm a fan of yours bro always have been I'm also a fan of bets2win. I am not going to sit here and say that I completely ignore overwhelming trends. I used to be a big reader of Marc Lawrence the trend master. Through my many years of capping this league I've used every tool available to me and just found that my best years are the ones where I went on straight statistical and objective analysis and incorporated individual team characteristics such as how certain teams travel, play outdoors, follows a loss etc etc so it's certainly not just xxs and oos i agree. I just found over time in my experience that i've had more success not allowing a trend prevent me from making the right play.
MJ2345-good points and yes I would certainly agree if they just won this game say week 7 but I highly doubt the Giants players are coming down emotionally anytime soon. This stage doesn't get any bigger and they know how close destiny is. Giants are not satisfied just being here they are a mix of young players w/ saavy vets that have been on this same journey 4 short years ago, they know what's at stake. Just listening to Diehl this week you can hear it in his voice they are on a mission so zero chance there is any emotional letdown this week I assure you of that. If anything the chip is on their shoulder having lost to 9ers previously wanting to show that they are a completely different team right now. I think this week will be a battle and I'm not discounting in any way the 9ers I think they have the best front 7 in the game I said it last week. What I do think will be the difference in this game is the Giants defense which has evolved and is peaking unlike I've seen in a long while. If Smith is able to do to Giants defense what he did to New Orleans then I am completely wrong but I just don't see it. I think Giants def front 4 will be a very big part of this game. I also see Eli as the dominant QB in this matchup w/ 3 superior weapons at his disposal not to mention their ability to take their show on the road. Special teams do concern me a bit where 9ers have decided advantage it just means Giants will have to navigate longer fields and can't afford turnovers and lose possessions ..we shall see....can't friggin wait!! GL all w/ your plays!

exactly...SF is the younger group here if anything the letdown would come from them. Off their horrible 2010 nobody expected this quick a jump from them this is all new territory for young players who have not been in this spot before. If anyone is going to have an emotional letdown or inability to handle emotions it would be the 9ers in this spot not a group w/ a solid core of players who just did this 4 years ago and know what it's like to win. Eli is unflapable there is nobody I would rather have right now outside of Brady quarterbacking my team right now and he's got 3 wrs w/ blazing speed that are finally in tune w/ him and running correct routes. I believe Eli has 5 TD connections of 50 plus yards in the last 4 games....it's not a fluke people. Giants off an extemely disappointing 2010 having their hopes crushed in a game they single handedly blew. There is zero chance there is a letdown emotionally off Packers game especially since the oddsmakers got the line wrong again and installed them as dogs which feeds right into the whole us against the world mentality they have been carrying with them last 5 games.

lol, i like ya too splooge n if we all agreed then what would we talk about right??
please clarify what has u lost?
all i said was "all things equal", the Niners can beat the Giants and that SF's D is much much better than Atl's n GB's... SF's defense shut down the run all season and they dont need to bring their safeties into the box to defend the run so i stated that the Giants wouldnt run all over them and Eli wont be able to pick SF apart deep bc their safeties will not bite....
please explain to me what part is a "rant" or where you're "lost"?
- if u just disagree with me, then thats perfectly fine.... but answer me this Splooge... you live in NJ; whos your team???
- im in NY but im not a Giants fan (nor Giants hater) and im viewing this game completely un-bias.... Are you???

I got the same rap in 07' Bets everyone was on me for sounding like a homer which I really try not to do anymore. I really wish those 07' threads were able to be read today we had some classics in there I went at it w/ MrBator from about week 17 through the SB. I gave numerous reasons why the Giants were going to win the SB that year prior to playoffs starting and I got bashed like nobody's business as you could imagine but in the end it was ooohh soooo sweet. Yes to answer your question I am a diehard Giants fan which those 07' threads were littered w/ along w/ a lot of great reasons to parlay the Giants from the Bucs game on through the SB but it fell on a lot of deaf ears. I had a very good 07' prior to that run but can say for an almost certain fact I'll never rake it in like I did that year it was like compounding hourly interest. So now a days I try and leave the fan part out of it cuz most will always point out you are a homer etc when it can't be farther from the truth. I'm not drinking the koolaid I'm seeing it from gambling perspective quite clearly just like 07'. I was a lot more over the top then pretty much telling everybody they were wrong for liking the Bucs, Cowboys Packers and Pats. I was pretty much a dick on this site being my first year not knowing how things went I just talked trash and backed it up and talked more trash...spent a lot of time in the box as a result but I learned. Now a days I don't care so much how people respond I just put it out there for a read and hopefully when I'm right more times than not anyone paying attention wins $$. 7-0 so far this playoff season maybe a few tailed me maybe they didn't I don't really care all I know is this postseason looking a lot like 07' right now and for all the right reasons I'm 100% on board the Giants train. Yes I'm a fan and hope they win the game outright but i'm a gambler as well so the 4 units I have down so far will be just as sweet as a win. I played against the Giants numerous times over the years by the way it just so happens I went with them every game on both of their runs in 07' and today for all the right reasons.
Thx for clarification on your post I got it now it really sounds as though you are sold on 9ers. I agree w/ you safties will not have to come up and that's fine because I will be satisifed if they play a underneath ball control game w/ crossing routes and slants all night. Remember it's the perception of the run game that counts and they show it....success is perception not always having to be a reality. I'll take 2.5 to 3 yards every run no problem that will be just fine give me at least 20+ runs and 80 yds that's perfect

I see what you're saying, and your 7-0 Record thus far is extremely impressive! If i wasnt confident in my capping skills, I'd be absolutely foolish not to jump on board your money train!! Theres no question, you're red hot right now and those "Giants homers" comments are inevitable. But in my case - i wasnt implying that you are bias, i was just asking, and thank you for clarifying. I'll admit too, i often have a tough time handicapping the GMen bc of my NY roots, i like to take the 'pulse' of the public from my friends but a lot of their opinions are skewed so i usually dont get accurate info from them... i dunno why, but whenever i cap the Giants, i seem to fail, whether its on them or against them... i really am pretty sold on San Fran and Baltimore thiswk. We shall see... im just hearing way too many people practically 'locking up' the GMen vs Pats in the SB.... I will say this, if it is NYG Vs NE, ill be ALL OVER NYG!!!

GL all w/ your plays!
