I was on the right side of the fix tonight and won. That doesn't change the fact that there are forces behind the curtains and pull the strings.
The human being is very conspiratorial and all of human history bears that out. Hell, just hang around the water cooler at work and listen in and you will find conspirators all around you.
Shakespeare and all of the other great writers wove great classics around human conspiracy. Dark dealings in all things human are as common as weeds.

It's far easy to fix a game in the NBA where there are 10 players on the court and play a style of basketball rather than 22 guys on a field where every single play is dictated. Same thing with soccer: the game is played virtually free of coaching influence while the clock runs. Yes, there are strategies involved in both NBA and soccer but coaching decisions are not even close to that of football. Every offensive play comes in from the sideline, adjustments are made at the line of scrimmage, there are fumbles, dropped passes, missed tackles, deflected ball, etc., etc., etc!! I would think that if all you conspiracy theorists are soooo effin smart you would understand and contemplate the myriad of intertwined variables, anomalies and random factors that exist with every play.

Sindy, it's a difference of opinion. No need to insult people and make it personal. I've been betting since 1978, and these are the conclusions I've drawn. You feel differently? OK! The irony is you calling everyone a kid is pretty childish in itself.

How about that Chelsea game when the ref blew the call on a flop for tying goal in extra time. That was clearly fixed..
Did anyone forget about Chargers @ Steelers 3-4 years ago? Polamalu clearly recovered a fumble for a touchdown untouched but they ruled it down at the spot of fumble so the Steelers won't cover.

My worst beat on a bullsh@t call was 2011 Bears vs Packers. Bears scored on a fake pass during a punt return that would have back door covered the spread for the Bears. The ref saw the cover and threw the most blatant flag i've ever seen. It killed a seven team parlay I had all ending on the Bears. Google bears fake punt return and there are a couple youtube videos....Unrelated to last nights game, but my most vivid memory of an influenced game.

Matt Ryan is a choker. With the best kicker in the NFL and the biggest choking qb in nfl history with his best target a rookie receiver, on 4th and 15? I probably would've gone for it too, but still, I can totally see why he kicked the fg.
Does anyone remember how the Falcons season ended last year? Matt Ryan about to take the lead and then the ball is snapped when he's not paying attention...he fumbles. 49ers go to the super bowl

The problem here is that people act like games are fixed each and every time they lose. And you guys point out a handful of instances like Tim Tonaghy, or that Knicks team or even Pete Rose as proof. It's like me saying all terrorists are white guys and using Timothy Mcveigh as my proof.
My favorite is when people say "Vegas was in on the fix!" The small handful of cases where people got caught fixing games were always people trying to BEAT Vegas and/or their book.
