I love how people can make a case that it was a prudent thing the Chiefs did to take a safety because of the risk of a blocked punt, etc . yeah, OK. I bet they can make a case for Ponzi schemes, too.

You probably shouldn’t be betting on a sport you don’t completely understand. There were 11 seconds left. Taking the safety enables Houston to only score one more time in the game - preventing them from having a chance to win. If KC punts, a blocked punt TD leaves enough time for Houston to onsides kick and then Hail Mary for the win. Literally every NFL coach worth his salt would’ve taken the safety there. Just because you’re not smart enough to understand the nuances of NFL football, doesn’t mean it’s “rigged”.

For anyone that lost on their KC bet- you are to blame. If you bet the game at -9 or -9.5 you fucked up, plain and simple. 8.5/8 was sitting right in front of your face all week. The only reason you would ever wait that late to bet the game is if you were planning to take Houston. Congrats to Hou +9.5 and KC -8.5! The game was a gamblers dream!

The safety was the right call. However, it was leading up to it that gave up the fix. They ran it and it was 2nd and 6 with 1:40 remaining. Thats too much time to kneel. You just run for the first down. Houston just wanted to go home at this point. There was more of a chance of Mahomegirl to get injured running around before kneeling. It was -10 yards after the 2 kneels too which was convenient to get closer to the endzone
