I love the chiefs this year, but as I mentioned before - Shanahan and McDaniels are the top two offensive minds in football. Before the season started, I said I would be backing the 49ers a lot this year - but didn’t like the matchups for the first two weeks of the season so I laid off. They went 0-2 ATS. This is the week however, I think Shanahan will prove his genius.
Andy Reid is a good coach, and he could come up with a great gameplan in a rematch between these two teams, but he’s not going to outcoach Shanahan in the first game facing each other. Ignore the players on the field in this one; this will be Shanahan vs Reid and Shanahan will win easily. Let’s not forget Shanahan was up 28-3 vs Belichick in the Superbowl before Brady bailed his coach out. I said the Chiefs would beat the Steelers in week 2 even before week 1 was played, but they are going to look like shit in this game. I like the 49ers to pull the upset and win straight up, so this will be my biggest play of the month.
Green Bay Packers @ Washington Redskins
Coming out party for Washington this Sunday. Yes they lost at home to the Colts last week, but they had more first downs, more total yards, ran more total plays, and had more time of possession. Unfortunately they had a ton of mistakes and couldn’t convert easy 3rd downs. Despite the Colts leading for the entire game and being in favorable situations, Andrew Luck only threw for 179 yards.
The Redskins will be better prepared this week, and their defense should shut down Rodgers in this match-up. The Packers aren’t that much better than the Redskins, and Washington will be taking this game as a prove-it game welcoming Green Bay to town. I’m high on the Skins and the market is still extremely undervaluing them because people don’t know how good they are yet. We’ll see if that changes after this week.

Best men wins LC- Shanny is a great offensive mind - I just don’t see how SF can stop Mahomes from scoring when there’s no pressure on him ? I live in the Bay Area and the 49ers are my team - I just don’t see how they can score enough vs KC offense - only way to beat KC is putting pressure on Mahomes - believe me - 49ets got no pass rush - Goodluck !!

Jimmy G takes too many sacks, plus he's having difficulty adjusting to Shanahan's offense. Last year he winged a dumbed down version of it. Now he's thinking a lot more and struggling (should have lost on sunday) Now they're going to Arrowhead, and that defense of theirs misses a ton of tackles. KC offensive gameplan: Week 1 Hill Week 2 Kelce Week 3 Hunt? Considering all the missed tackles from SF Hunt could have a monster day.
With that said I teased this one down to KC +6.5 just in case Jimmy G gets hot and Shanny out coaches Reid.

LC, interested in hearing your thoughts on Ravens/Broncos. i see this being a 3 or 4 pt margin of victory. Losing CJ Mosley hurts , you dont think there will be a slight drop off defensively? Ravens had to resign Albert McClellan for depth purposes, he's a good veteran knows the Ravens defense and can play middle LB but he is mostly known for his play on special teams and was a captain of that unit. i think ravens win but dont know if they can cover
Sip on that plus money honey!

Have you not seen the offense of KC? On the road no less? Talking about people out coaching eachother. The players between the lines win this game. This has got to be the dumbest play.

Mosely is the heart and soul of their defense so it's no surprise they looked like garbage against the Bengals when he got injured. If Ravens were playing a top 10 offense this week I'd fade them here, but Broncos have one of the worst offenses in the league so they won't be able to exploit the weakness. If this was Brady, Rivers, Big Ben, Rodgers etc. then yes.
Broncos offense produced 2 first downs in the first half against the Raiders last week. Ravens don't need Mosely for this game
