These are very similar teams with similar approaches. Run the football and play defense. I couldn't agree more. As I see it, the major difference lies at the QB position. Kerry Collins is a sixteen year veteran with a lot of playoff experience both good and bad. He did a fine job Quarterbacking a NYG team that lost to the Niners a few years in a wild card game when SF scored the last 24 pts. of the game. He was fortunate to be the NYG QB when the Vikings decided to mail in the Conference Championship game in 2000. The Ravens completely destroyed Collins and the Giants in the SB that year, Collins posting a QB rating of 7. Overall he has never lived up to his billing coming out of Penn St. and his career has been uneven and very average. He has been adequate this year, the beneficiary of that tough Tenn defense and run game. Collins has posted a QB rating of 84, a TD/int ration of 9-4 his last eight games, excluding the Indy game.
Joe Flacco got his job by accident when there was no one else left to play QB for the Ravens. His first seven games were typical of a rookie NFL QB, but he has come on the last nine to post a QB rating of 89 with a TD/int ratio of 11-5. He didn't need to do much in the last game vs. Mia., but is not apt to be that fortunate in this game. I thought he looked somewhat confused on several plays LW. Things will certainly not be any easier vs. the Titan D.
This Raven team has the same look as the 2000 edition and I have gone with them most of the year. I think the proper play here (if there is one) is the home team with the experienced QB, but I'm going with Baltimore anyhow. Someday I'll grow up and be a real capper.

Car-9.5 vs. Arz
I was not impressed with Arizona's performance LW vs. Atl. and I give them very little chance to win this game. Conditions are apt to be a little wet and who knows which team that will favor. I just look for an all out effort from the Panthers, several Cardinal turnovers, and DeAngelo Hall taking over in the fourth quarter. I don't see the Cards running much at all on Carolina. Nine and a half are too many in any playoff game, but I just don't have another way to go here.
