honestly any kicker, not just scobee, but any kicker in the NFL who misses two FG attempts which were not that far deserves to get fired. You have one job in the nfl, you get paid hundreds of thousands... maybe even millions to kick a ball. You practice every single day. There is no excuse why you miss twice. disgusting. and i have my money on the ravens.

Agreed. He missed two very important fg. The other fg barely made it. His kick is all over the place, not NFL standard. Clean up your locker, you're done son!

He deserved to get fired after missing two against the Pats.
Yup, Lipps. Scobee cost me twice in this season by two missed goals for each game, tonight and Week 1 at New England. I should have won both by backing Pitt. but got pushed in both games, darn all blame to Scobee.

He was a cluthc kicker in Jax, so he's not a choker.
Pitt is a notoriusly tricky, windy stadium.
Too bad Tomlin didn't give him a chance to redeem himself and change that tragic script. He might have adjusted for the wind and made it. Then Vick totally missed on that easy out route to Brown on 4th down. That was a choke also.
Personally, I wish FGs weren't even part of the game. They have nothing to do with the rest of the game which is running, passing catching, blocking and tackling. That should decide a game. Not who has the best soccer kicker.
And now the NFL has set up the possibility that a team, late in a big game could heroically rally back to score a TD and be jumping for joy on the sideline in celebration and then have the FG kicker miss the longer extra point. Wait until that happens in a dramatic Super Bowl. That will be absolutely tragic to that team and their fans.
