SEA vs WASH w/writeup.

So why did I post this? Well first of all the numbers may be a little misleading so I wanted to make sure Washington backers gave this some extra thought and make Seattle backers feel more certain.

Washington hasn't allowed a 100 yard rusher since playing Baltimore in Week 14 when Rice ran for 121. Impressive huh? After Baltimore they faced Cleveland in Week 15 and held Richardson and Cribbs to a combined 44yds. Then Washington held McCoy and Brown of Philadelphia to a combined 63 yds in Week 16. In Week 17 Murray of Dallas was held to 76. Are you still impressed. I'm not and here's why. Dallas and Cleveland are pass happy teams with Romo and Weeden so the run game is very limited. Philly's offensive line was banged up most of the season. After doing some research I can understand why they moved up in the ranks so fast with their rush defense. Now lets look at the running backs Seattle faced after Week 14 in comparison to what Washington has faced. Week 15 Seattle allowed Spiller to rush for 103yds. Yes he rushed over 100 but he is one of the best RB in the league and Seattle still easily won that match. Week 16 Seattle held SF's Gore and Kaepernick to a combined 59yds on the ground. That IMO is impressive. In Week 17 Jackson of STL was held to 52. I think Seattle had a tougher schedule as well when you look at their opponents numbers to Wash's opponents. While some believe Washington holds a slight edge offensively with the read option I think Seattle can stop it. Pete Carroll has seen plenty of read option while coaching for USC so Seattle should be well prepared with a former college coach. Wash on the other hand hasn't seen the read option against themselves and I'm not so sure they're ready for the task. Kickoff is at 4:30 so the different timezones and traveling situation will not affect Seattle in any way. Marshawn Lynch is the veteran and also the better RB here. Look for Seattle to end Washington's post season later today as they did in 2005 & 2007. Here's the regular season average defensive total yds allowed stats.

Wash 390.8 yards
4th worst

Still like Wash? Don't fall in love with what you see from RG3. All good things must come to an end and I believe his run stops here. Seattle will have key players back and will be deep. Wash left guard and cornerback are questionable with injuries. But that wont matter. BOL

Dont agree with your reasoning. "Hasnt seen read option against them"  Doesnt WAS defense practice aganist read option all week leading up to game. On opposite side, G/L

Seattle isn't the same when on the road against an above average to good team. I will take RG3 over Wilson any day, unless in Seattle. Only edge Seattle has is D, Wash better O, better QB, home field advantage, and not to mention again Seahawks not nearly as good when not at home. It will be a close game but Washington ML is the Lock Talk Play. 

Garson the Haitian nightmare will give Seattle big trouble.

Seeing the read option in practice and games is completely different fellas. At practice your emotions are not involved.
And like I said which some of you must have missed. Wash schedule was a little softer than Seattle's. Their defense is also a little overrated.

Washington has been in many close games and allowed 30+ points on numerous occasions.

Seattle has not allowed over 28 points to any team in this league. Seattle Defense is the Real Deal.

And to whoever mentioned traveling. This is a 4:30 game. Its much different from playing a 1:00 o'clock where you still feel like you woke up by gametime. I've done enough research and that research points to a Seattle VICTORY!!! GL

After the game is over blame it on the knee brace.

Seattle will be a tough out with their run game and defense and pretty good qb.  WA defense is spotty, thus the underdog role, to me.  But home field and weather conditions make me like Redskins and also RGIII.  Seattle did shut down SF and their vaunted running game and qb but I think not today, not here.  To me GB is dangerous with Aaron Rodgers who can be the best qb left in the NFC draw.  The rest are all rookies and one qb who has never won aplayoff game.
