And no athletes ever went to college right?

I know you think you are on to something, and because of the nature of the internet dumb people, such as yourself, are allowed to say things no matter how out of their depth they really are. And frankly, I hate having to talk to uneducated simpletons, but just so you know the few quantitative studies that have dealt with the issue with professional athletes and criminal activity actually show that professional athletes commit less crimes per capita than similarly aged people in other professions. You can find a number of these studies on JSTOR or if you do not have the money or professional position to allow you to access that database, then you can also look to Google Scholar. However, since I know you don't even know what those things are, here is one article that sheds some light on your thesis (which is wrong by the way):
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-rate-of-domestic-violence-arrests-among-nfl-players/
And dont be confused by the title, the article examines many crimes other than domestic violence. But alas, if reading that further confuses you or you simply cannot grasp the idea of reading at all, the gist of the article argues that "As I’ll show, arrest rates among NFL players are quite low compared to national averages for men in their age range — but there are some types of crimes that trail the pack significantly."
So, what does all this mean? It means at best we can say that there is a dearth of robust quantitative analysis that seeks to shed light on your clumsy (and untested) hypothesis. Even worse is that you have not even discussed variance, alternative variables, correlation, etc - not that you know what any of those words mean. At worse, then, your argument is just stupid because even if you could establish that pro athletes commit more murder per capita than other professions (you can't show this by the way) you then would have to establish why committing murder would make certain professions more prone to engage in corrupt business practices.
In sum, you are saying things that seem to make sense in your small mind, and likely fit your world view, but are, in fact, somewhere between wrong and just moronic. As for the coal tar, wind chime, haunted gnome chem trail guy - well he isn't just dumb, he is actually bat-shite crazy and should be put away.

Nevermind guys. Athletes haven't done anything. They haven't committed murder, beat women, beat kids, abuse animals. You guys think they haven't done anything and they aren't capable of doing anything wrong. Ok

LANDSHARK HERE...
Piping in to say "WOW"
about how impressed I am with most of you.
I feel at home in this post.
Like I belong.
As it was meant to be.
Want to add my 2%.
54 yrs old. Long time NFL follower.
Can't express how pleased to see several (if not many) people question things "outside the box"

You know there was a time not so long ago that had the "powers that be" disallow such ferverous talk.
Can't tell you how many times I've been banned for displaying a renegade attitude.
Since this is your thread 'Mathwiz', I'll address you directly.
Having "been around" for so long, I fully agree things aren't as they might seem to be.
Lost countless plays after being up 30+-0 @ the half (like 2 SB's ago with ATL/NE)
Lost $1QM over the last 35 yrs from missed f/g's / xtra pts, int's, bad ref calls, untimely injuries,
(etc., etc., the list is long and goes on & on...)
You are right;
- Something is def off.
- "Fixes" are in place.
- The world is corrupt
- People can be bought
- Situations can be controlled
- Event outcomes can be manipulated.
That is a fact proven over and over throughout time.
(Not just sports but in all things).
Anyone disputing this evidence displays obvious ignorance
which is clear as day, from miles away, for anyone who has a modicum of basic intelligence
to see with the naked eye.

You sound well educted and reasonably grounded Mathwiz.
I read every one of your posts very closely.
Despite that claim,
is it my vague recollection,
or perhaps vivid imagination,
recalling you quoted 'Shakespeare' somewhere down the line ?!
Whether you did or not, let me add a timeless adage from that 'Grandmaster' :
"POWER CORRUPTS. ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY"
Having said that, I concur with you
(and those that support your sentiments and ideology)
for the most part.
