Well the line is exactly where I thought it would be. I'm going to add the ML to this play as well. Steelers look just a tad bit overrated this year...................

the raiders will lose big. early 1pm start. west coast teams usually play really bad on the east coast with early games.

The Raiders are coming off 3 straight Point Spread Covers and Straight Up Wins.....In the NFL, that means something. I'm just saying that I think it's the best play on the board......

Coming off a BYE I think that it may lessen the effect of the travel on the RAIDERS. It has crossed my mind though...........

But this also is a rivarly game as far as both franchises are concerned. Each team will be pumped....Raiders won last year in Pittsburg...

Other than one year the raider have sucked for a long time.  This is no longer a rivalry game.  The Steelers D folded up in the 4th quarter of almost every game last year and the Raiders game last year was purely a offense that went 3 and out putting a tired D out there. They are much better this year and will not be overlooking the Raiders following the beating they took by Brady.  The only way the Raiders keep it close is by running the ball and that will not happen.  I mean Chris Johnson, Ray Rice, Peyton Hillis, Michael Turner and other couldn't run against them so how the hell is Mcfadden going to do it?  I'm calling it right now, Jason Campbell does not finish this game.

What does last year have to do with this year? That makes absolutely no sense.  that is a common comment from someone who knows nothing about the nfl and especially betting.  How does betting with your heart work out for you buddy? LOL! Let me know after sunday.  And where are you getting your info about the steelers defense? LOL! Before last week they were ranked number one in overall  and run defense.  lowest pts per game.  So how is it not like last years d and years before?  The new england game was a fluke and yeah so what they have our number, but nobody else does. The steelers never lose 2 in a row at home either. If you don't have somethn knowledgable to say on here then you might as well save it.

This is probably the singularly most uniformed post I have ever seen on Covers.

What does past matchup history have to do with this game? WELL I DON'T KNOW.....WHY THE HELL DOES EVERY SPORTS WAGERING WEBSITE/CASINO INCLUDE PAST MATCHUPS IN THEIR GUIDE? HELLO?

The more I hear the newbies talk about how Pittsburg is going to just KILL the Raiders, solely b/c they are the Might Pittsburg Steelers, the more I LOVE the +7'.

If you don't think this is still a rivarly between these two franchises you are an IDIOT. The Rooney's are rolling out the Red Carpet for Al Davis b/c they have class and they know what this game means to the league. GET A CLUE...

Steelers win because they can beat you in multiple ways and have better coaching.  Raiders aren't going to make it a space game by spreading the field with receivers and run a bunch of crossing routes like New England did.  Also, the 1 PM local start time is in the Steelers favor.

Al Davis likes to run, throw deep and on D play man to man.

Raider defense has been very good last 4 weeks vs. Run. They have a very opportunistic style that have scored points and sacked the QB a Lot.

No question that the Raiders winning this game will be a huge task.

But having the additional +8 points and knowing that the Raiders have won, and covered 3 in a row, is why I'm picking this as my best play of the week... Not b/c of any blind homerism.........

I got oakland + 8.5 when this line first came out and also got them on the ML with the over in this game love it, GO RAIDERS

As Matt Williamson of ESPN put it so eloquently, "The Raiders have the worst type of offense to go up against the Pittsburgh Steelers defense."

However, the Raiders enjoy a new advantage that they didn't enjoy year. That advantage is the injuries to the Steelers' O-line, and the Raiders improving D-line. Seymour has been outta his mind recently, too.

Steelers are the favorite for a reason, but the Raiders somehow survived an 18/24 Roethlisberger game last year, where Mendenhall also had 100+ yards, in Gradkowski's 1st or 2nd game back. I'm staying far away from this one.

Instead, I'll probably throw action on the Raiders if the odds are fat, during my typical Saturday night/Sunday morning degenerate time, lol.

Though I see some of your points heyjohnny, last year's Steelers were blindsided by this Raiders team. After that humiliating loss to the Pats on primetime at home and taking action by immediately releasing a team veteran like Jeff Reed, I see how serious Pittsburgh will take this Raiders team. I'm going with Pittsburgh here -7 here.
