Most likely Bens last game... I know it’s doesn’t change how bad the OL is but I expect max effort from the Steelers.. Plus Ben doesn’t want to lose to the Browns on his last game at home... I actually don’t want to bet on the Steelers but they have been showing up when everyone is against them this season.. why is the line -3.5 now for the Browns? Anyone else like the Steeler side Monday night?
macgruber, steelers will rip the browns throat and get their nose.
steelers ml game of year for me

You do realize Pittsburgh has given up the most rushing yards this year. Cleveland has the 3rd most rushing yards gained. Chubb is going to run all over this defense.
Also the thought that "Pittsburgh wants to win because this is the last home game for Ben" is BS. No player in the league wants to lose any game so that logic is flawed. Ben has had his glory days with Pitt but those are over. No Cinderella story Monday but maybe he beats his nemesis in the season finale week 18.

I disagree on the logic part.. let’s say the Jags are very motivated to beat New England this weekend... not gonna happen... but because we are dealing with millionaire humans.. home game... politics.. legacy... and other factors... sometime motivation for these guys are more powerful than what is supposed to happen... have you watched any of the bowl upsets?? I’ve been watching football for over 40 years.. sometimes but not always is motivation a heavy factor... in this game I believe it is... trust me I completely agree the Browns are supposed to run down their throats but the Towels will be out Monday.. I keep getting the same responses on here about this... football is an emotional sport and whoever has the higher energy and resilience can dominate.. I also played it... I appreciate your thoughts but don’t underestimate the power of when a team wants it...

Normally I'd agree with you about a team getting up for certain situations like Mondays but Ben isn't the most loved guy in that locker room. If you recall one of the reasons why Laveon Bell and Antonio Brown left was because of Ben.
Now to the other reason why the Steelers swan song game for Ben won't happen Monday. Is Cleveland's season on the line? Yes it is. If it were the usual Browns who would be 3-13 I would say Pittsburgh would roll but the fact that the better team needs to win to stay alive means a lot here.

To your question about teams in bad spots and popular angles. I'm assuming you mean bettors fade teams in particular spots. It could be for many reasons like a sandwich game or the team rallying around a recent tragedy. Like in the previous post, Ben isn't the most popular guy in the locker room so I don't anticipate a All-Star performance from the team just because he is retiring. It's a bad matchup for Pitt here. When Pitt beat Cleveland early on, Pittsburgh's defense was playing reasonable but the past 2 months have been abysmal for them.

Pittsburgh has a better record and they beat them in cleveland, how is cleveland the better team? steelers have definitely laid a bunch of eggs, but so have the browns, losing 45-7 vs patriots and 37-14 vs cardinals. Browns qb is not even close to being healthy, so don't have a clue why you think browns are better, one could make the case that both of these teams are mediocre and I wouldn't argue with that.

You may have something with the locker room angle.. and I definitely know the Browns when clicking on all cylinders are the better team.. but Browns haven’t clicked since the first game with KC.. just wanted to explain that I’m not JUST a motivation play guy.. I guess if the Steelers are ever gonna bring it for 4 quarters it’s Mon... But although I really like this spot for the Steelers I’m still thinking about playing it..

It's easier for people to think oh it's Ben's last home game surely they can't lose. Maybe that's true but personally I think he would rather stick it to Baltimore the following week.
Obviously Baker's shoulder has hampered the team this year. If it wasn't for his 4 interceptions they very well could have beat GB last week in Lambeau.

steelers can still win the north, they want both games. He obviously wants to make the postseason. If they win and bengals lose to chiefs and lose at browns ( they are underdogs in both lookahead line is browns -1.5) they win the the north.
bakers 4 ints, is a bad sign that he should not be playing You're betting on him laying -3 on the road vs a qb that is playing his last home game vs a team he is 25-2-1 against. best of luck to you.

YOU are mistaken...
Bell sat out a year because he wanted more guaranteed money up front...(supposedly). Pitts offered him 5 years @ 70 million but only about 30 mill was guaranteed...in the biggest game of his career he came up very small there is that...he ended up signing for less with the jets and he took a giant crap all over them too.
Ben R. made Antonio Brown and catered to him his whole career but some of this all started when Juju won the team mvp in 2019...AB was butt hurt over that...Ben made a comment during a radio show that a pattern that AB ran was too shallow on a cross in the end zone...so what?
Then in a practice Ben asked AB to run a certain route again and AB threw the ball at him...tempers flared but according to Ryan Clark AB was a toxic presence for many years even to the point of threatening the D coordinator Dick Lebeau many years earlier and throwing temper tantrums in practice and at one point Polamalu and he almost came to blows.
AB has proven to be a whiny drama queen and inner city thug his whole life and despite his fame and wealth he will never change. One of Tomlin's many weaknesses is that he is a wuss when it comes to disciplining his star Black players, he prefers to be their buddy and it hurts the team morale.
None of the players on the team were there for any of Ben's Superbowl wins so they don't share in any of that glory from his long career. If they show up on MNF it will be a personal business decision...aside from Cam Heward and a few others who have a history with Ben.
I don't know why so many are willing to believe the demonizing of Roethlisberger...I guess it stems from when he was trying to get laid at a singles' bar when he was a bachelor...call the cops.
I don't care for this version of the Steelers at all but I want Tomlin to stay on to show a certain segment of his fan base just what kind of a head coach he truly is...oh yes, I can be very cruel.

With all due respect to the stats and ratings you posted(that are real), sometimes when an inspirational spot comes up you throw that stuff out the window.
If Ben gathers his team pre game to give a speech, he'll probably get emotional. And there is no way to quantify that. His boys could empty the tank in this one and give it their ALL.
Then you fade em week 18

Also for the most part this team is not endeared to Ben ! More than once Ben has referred to these players on the Steelers as non-Steeler type mentality, the legacy is not in them. Also the common thought throughout football is been should’ve left two years ago as his skills have diminished immensely along with his body. Personally I’ve always thought that Phil Rivers given the great Pittsburgh defenses, Coaching and management that selected players to fit the skill set for their game plan could have won 2 Super Bowls in this environment as he is A Hall of Famer without it.
