Fader, good to see you around buddy. I look forward to seeing your pooch's picks....he was hot last year
For Sunday, I'm struggling with the total as I think Tennessee will cover this spread rather easily but I don't know if Buffalo will have enough offense to put the score over the total.
Buffalo's offense will have problems early this season as they're starting two rookies on the OL.....G Andy Levitre and G Erick Wood. Brad Butler is projected to start at RT but he's currently out with back issues. This team has no depth on the line....Kirk Chambers T, Langston Walker T, Seth Mckinney G and Geoff Hangartner C are the only seasoned OL vets on the roster and Chambers and Mckinney have been replaced by the rookies. The WR position is a bright spot for Buffalo as it's the deepest position on Buffalo's board, however, QB's Matt Baker and Ryan Fitzpatrick will have a difficult time getting the ball downfield with poor pass protection. As well, Buffalo has a few ordinary RB's on the roster that should get plenty of work...Xavier Oman, Corey McIntyre and Bruce Hall. Dominik Rhodes and Fred Jackson should see minimal action. With Five active RB's and a young OL, I anticipate a majority of running plays with chunks of time run off the clock on Buffalo's side.
Tennessee definitely has more experience and talent at the backup QB position....QB's Vince Young and Patrick Ramsey make this team deep. The same can be said for the RB's....Rafael Little (Kentucky), Javon Ringer (Michigan State), Quinton Ganther (Utah), Rodney Ferguson (New Mexico). Tennessee has a talented group of RB's that will be competing for a spot next to Chris Henry, LenDale White and Chris Johnson. Tennessee's WR's have a ton of speed, I am impressed with Lavelle Hawkins (Cal) and I think Nate Washington could be a pleasant surprise in the fantasy leagues. Paul Williams (Fresno St) and Chris Davis (Florida State) can also get open down the field. Tennessee has drafted a good pass blocking TE in Matthew Mulligan (Maine), 6'4", 270 lbs to compete with Algae Crumpler and Bo Scaife.
Fader, ...I feel great about taking the Titans at a field goal so I am laying off the total mainly because I'm uncertain as to what these 2nd and 3rs tier defenses bring to the table. I know what the Titans 2nd and 3rd offense can provide.....gl buddy

Thanks for the info thorpe...I didn't have Hamdan on the sheet...I suppose he could be useful. Whether or not Tennessee blitzes isn't nearly as important to me as the Bills offensive line having to adjust to the speed of the game which is why team depth plays a key factor in my wager. I also love Tennessee's 2nd and 3rd team offense....regardless, thanks for the post and have a great season
