Nie morning of faves went with Houston -10 and Detroit -4 as well as Denver and Chicago 4-0 .. Last leg of those into Tampa for a five leg parlay 0.2 units to win 6, go bucs!!

can someone please explain how much to hedge when you are waiting on the last leg of a parlay to hit...? 

Lets say I put $50 on a 4 team parlay to win $200.  My first three teams have hit and I'm waiting on the last leg of it, how much do I want to bet to hedge it?

of course I would take the latter, but if you just leave the last team off the card, the 10 would already be won and done.  Im just trying to figure out why add the last team to begin with if you plan on hedging.

It depends besause if each team is a big favorite like -235 on the money line, on the last game you can play 50$ on the dog if it is +250.......if the dog wins you wil have 175$...if you hit your parley you will have 200$......but you have to study the last game.....

Well explained above, to get a perfect hedge to collect the same amount regardless you want to bed the amount of money on the other side of the last game to collect what the parlay collects if u hit the last leg of the parlay.. Ideally the last leg is a short favorite so u don't need to place much on the dog to hedge .. If last leg is a dog you need to place a substantial amount usually on the favorite to hedge so you might not end up with much profits .. Example I had 10$ today on Detroit Chicago Houston Denver all ate lines in a parlay into last leg Tampa money line to win 290.. I could have 155 on Oakland -120 so in total I have Outland 165 and I am guaranteed to collect 290 meaning a profit of 290-10-155 = 125 ... Personally chose not to hedge as I think if you want to hedge I should have had the 4 leg multi and collected the 135 from 10 had I only parlayed the 4 spreads.. Hope that helps

Incorrect. A 3 teamer pays 6-1 and a 4 teamer pays 12-1 , so adding the last team can net you a try at 4 "free" units if you hedge. If you left the last team off, sure, you would have already won 6 units. However, if you are willing to put a 4 teamer in, then there is no reason to at least make sure you have a free ride.

I'd be wary of this game as both teams are committing penalities at will killing momentum for offense's but I don't think the under would be a recommendation as well.  Will have to see what it opens up at?

Hey Si1ly - great work today and thanks for your plays.  Need some advice if you have the time.  Last part of my teasers are Dallas +12 and +9 for a total win of $410, but risking only $275.  How would you play this for tonight?  Would you let it ride or hedge it?

In that case, I would have to agree and that answers my question.  I didn't realize the payout doubled by adding the 4th team.  But is it mathematically correct to hedge in the long run?.. would be my next question.  I'm way too lazy to try and figure it out esp since I rarely play parlays, but I'm guessing its probably a break-even proposition at that point.  It probably also depends on if the last team is actually a good play or not.
