That means they would have to win three postseason road games including a wild card matchup against the Eagles in Philly if the season ended today. Doesn't seem worth it.

Not saying it's impossible to beat Mahomes at Kansas City. Excluding the 2019 AFC Championship (AFCC) which KC should have won that game if not Chiefs' Dee Ford lined up offsides when Tom Brady threw the game ending pick off by Chiefs' CB Charvarius Ward, Mahomes is 3-1 in the AFCC.

I know, Josh Allen and Bills almost beat Mahomes in the 2022 AFC Divisional at KC. It just appears pretty tough to win a playoff game at KC by a visitor.

If the Chiefs would have lost a couple of those really close games I would be worried about them making it to a 3rd super bowl. 

In the Divisional Round is where I'm expecting the Chiefs to not only lose, but lose badly. I don't care who the opponent will be.

 I agree whole heartedly.  Chiefs will be exposed.  Hard to believe some of the games they won by the skin of their teeth this year.

The Lions, Packers and Vikings all benefitted from playing the AFC South this season, finishing a combined 12-0 against that division.

Then why did you wager on the Eagles to win the NFC in your own thread???

I went 0-2 in the wild card round and stopped wagering immediately. I'm going to be more patient this weekend and make some live bets and some prop wagers including taking the Chiefs and the Lions games to go into OT at +875 for 1 unit each.

I was just wondering the same thing. Especially since earlier in this thread I said I wouldn’t take the Texans but am considering doing that now.

NFC North: 0-3 and none of those games was close.

Right now the Bills are clearly better than the Chiefs, regardless of what KC has done in the past. If the Bills show up and play they way they have been playing all season, they win. They have already beat the AFC team that finished second in the NFL in defensive yards allowed per play (Broncos) AND the team who finished first in offensive yards per play (Ravens). 

Last week the Chiefs looked like a tired team, and that was after a week off. They had 212 yards of offense, the lowest in any game Mahomes has started and the third worst output with Reid as head coach. This is not the Chiefs team that has won in the past. 

Since the wild card round was introduced in 1978 there have been 25 teams, counting Washington this year, that won on the road in the wild card round, on the road in the divisional round and are on the road in the conference finals. To date those teams are 5-19 SU in the conference finals. I researched the five winners and Washington does have some similarities to those teams except for one glaring stat, rushing yards allowed in their divisional round win. They will have to shore that up if they want to beat Philadelphia on Sunday.

When division teams face each other in the conference finals the dog is 7-12 SU & 8-11 ATS since '66.
