After that woeful 2nd half performance against Miami, My eyes were lighting up at the thought of backing the Pats against the Vikings this week but having watched the Vikings performance in week 1 and being impressed and with it being their home opener and also being in a dome and on turf which the Pats very rarely play on, It just has me doubting myself. Then on the other hand how good is Belichick off of a defeat and how unlikely is it that the Patriots could go 0-2, I love the line i'm getting for the Pats, I'm just not sure whether the situation is right.

Vikings play outdoors in TCF stadium while the new field is being built. The dome is blown up. It'll be outdoors but still a fast track and good weather for Sunday.

Brady looked bad and their run defense is awful.  I personally like Minnesota myself this week although it is hard to bet against Brady in these situations.

taking the points, it's holding steady at 3 for now but I think come Sunday morning we'll see 3.5's and 4's. Vikings all day. Everyone and their cousin's grandmother are going to be on the Pats.

Who gives a shitt if everyone's grandmother is on the Patriots. Is that going to change the outcome of the game? Good luck with your Matt Cassel and Nov Turner play.

Starting your season with back 2 back road game is tough... real tough...

Especially after a division lost in week 1.

    Minnesota will cover.

Starting your season with back 2 back road game is tough... real tough...

Especially after a division lost in week 1.

    Minnesota will cover.

Maybe they will but from a matchup standpoint can you offer me any insight? Does it matter that Belchicheck knows Cassel 's weaknesses better than anyone or am I over thinking too much?

I think by this time his weaknesses are well known by teams in the league. Over the past few years there seem to be chinks in the Pats armor, but they still do well. I am planning on skipping this game, but if I had to take a side, I would lean towards the Vikings ( home team with a stable running game and a low point spread ). The Dolphins exposed the Pats, and NE may not have time to readjust.

You may be right but if there's anything that Belchicheck needs to know regarding Cassel to give the Pats an edge, we can guarantee ourselves that the Patriots are aware. And, I guarantee that the vikings will not cover on their running game, alone. Last week, Cassel only made threw 3 passes longer than 10 yds for the entire game. That won't be happening this week. We will see if he can protect the ball.

Im really tempted to take the Viks +3 the way NE lines played on both sides of the ball last week was pretty scary considering what Minnesota is bringing in and im not sure you can fix that in a week, but still going against Brady is a tough move to make but I say Vikings are the play here

What is it that Minnesota is bringing in?

In reference to not being able to fix mistakes in a weeks time, NFL teams adjust all the time. in fact, week to week adjustments are commonplace which is why you should have a short memory when gambling on the NFL. Last weeks results may offer a few clues as to what's to come but one week is such a small sample size. And, It would be different if NE didn't have capable personnel but they do have the athletes. Last weeks issues were fundamental errors that came from penalties, wrong routes, etc....a lack of preparation that is uncharacteristic of a Belichek coached team.

They were only a couple of  plays away from going 0-2 last year opening against Buffalo and the Jets

Pats two home games last year vs Saints  and Browns completly outplayed and should have lost

That 12-4 could have been 8-8 easy maybe this year they lose that horse shoe up their A s s

Vikes will handle the Pats o-line and move Brady off his spot. Timing is everything with him. Vince looks old and slow in the middle. Wouldn't surprise me if A P goes off for 150+. I'd have no qualms with taking the Vikes on the ML. Take the three.

People act like the Pats offensive line is a joke.

Dolphins have 1 of the top 3-5 Dlines in the NFL. Not every Dline will be able to dominate like Miami did.

I watched a lot of the minn/stl game and stl had more penaltys than any game I have seen in a long time, I don't think minn did anything special, the rams were the worst team in the NFL last week, every team atleast made a game of it as some point( balt, browns, oak...ect) EXCEPT the rams...
