One thing I just can't understand:

You are up 16-0 late in the third quarter, your opponent struggled to move the ball and will likely not have many chances without going all in.

How can you not be prepared for a fake field goal ???

Even a friend of mine who is a Football greenhorn asked me why the Packers didn't keep their end zone safe. Unbelievable.

it was a big fk up for them without question. that kinda stuff is right in petey's wheel house. also thought the pack played scared early. gotta go for it on the 4th down on the 6 inch line early. then a few series later ran the ball on a 3rd and 5 and settled for the fg. taking the ball out of the MVP's hands when he had all day to throw

"And how about the matchup of the Seahawks offense against the GB defense ? Well, there is another interesting stat. Did you know that just four of Seattle's opponents this season rank above GB in total defense (yards per play) ? SF (2x), Denver & KC. Seahawks average ppg in those games ? 19 in regulation. GB ranks #10 in total defense with 5.3 yards per play allowed. On the road ? #10 in total defense with 5.4 yards per play allowed. Keep in mind that GB gave up a ton of yards per play in the second half when they were up by a huge amount of points. They allow the 6th fewest first half points, just 0.3 points more than Seattle. In many games they didn't need to fight until the end."

Or maybe their defense is/was only good enough (or good enough to mask its deficiencies) for a half. Seattle finally wore them down. Seattle's lack of time of possession in the 1st half (aided by turnovers) really took away the strength of their offense, grinding teams down. Regardless, great capping, Suuma, and a great season!

Thanks, BB! You were right about the Seattle mentality. But I think GB should have won with a better coaching/catching performance.
