Damn Suuma love your insights.  Right or wrong you are committed to your evaluation/handicapping.  Lots of respect here.  Having said that I now lean NE and KC. My love the fact both teams lost the first game and will not look past them again.   I am a wait and see on J Football.  Cindy is a good team waiting to break out.  Probably won't be this week on the road but it will come.  Like your Bills pick but don't have the balls to pull the trigger.  Already got your opinion on the G-Men and got off them.  How about dem Saints?  Chicago is a bad team and now have lost Marshall.  Problem is, the Saints are a good team under achieving.  Cold weather and outdoors not a good fit for Bree's but I can't imagine a loss here.  Your thoughts?

Raiders: Road underdogs of more than a TD after a win off a shutout loss (21+) are 0-7 SU and 1-6 ATS, losing by an average of 20.5 ppg since 1989.


Getting more than a TD generally means it's one of the weaker teams in the league. These teams put all their effort together after getting shut out to just fall into a letdown spot the week after.

My gut tells me the Saints win, but I can't put anything on them after that performance against the "mighty" Panthers. I don't like the Bears, they have been bad all season long. Drew Brees can expose their secondary easily. Could be a factor how the Bears are able to move the ball without BMarsh

As for Johnny, I can't back him here. The obvious is the Bengals trying to avenge their most embarrassing loss of the season against their in-state rival with no spread to deal with. That's a huge factor in this this game.

It's a TON to ask of Manziel to win this game in his first start. Even Tebow (equal amount of hoopla) lost his first game to the lousy Raiders who had nothing to play for. This game has playoff fates in the balance. I have to go with the better team and the professional behind center who fails big but is still far more seasoned than Manziel obviously. Dalton will get it done.

And again, valid points. It's just that I believe JM gives the Browns offense some things they were missing all season long. They had no running game and Brian Hoyer threw more INTs than TDs this season. Their pass defense is very good. Bengals have faced three soft pass defenses on the road in their L3 and managed to average just 21 points. Now they face a better pass D in a tough venue. Gonna be interesting.

And what spurred them on in that 3 game winning streak? That's right. The loss to the Browns got it going. 

Manziel may have some magic here but Hoyer is better. He's just getting pounded by the media and he's regressing because of it (headlines like "Browns win in spite of Hoyer). If the Colts don't convert late last week, Hoyer is 8-5 as a starter this year. The guy wins games and if the media just ignored him I believe he could even be 9-4. But the cloud of criticism is heavy on him because they all want to see Johnny.

It's a bad mix for a mentally fragile QB at the moment.

Manziel needs a quick start and a lead to win this game. If he goes down by two scores, it's going to be a very tough hole to get out of.

I meant their opponent's pass D. I completely agree with you about Brian Hoyer. He has been a game manager. But that's it. The Browns went 7-6, but they played the worst schedule of all teams in terms of adjusted records. They have a good team but have been missing some explosiveness on offense. They could be better. I think Johnny Manziel's play making ability gives the Browns more options on the offense. Also the Bengals don't really have any NFL film to watch on Manziel. I like the spot here.

I'm leaning Baltimore too but it's a tricky game IMO. It's not a real "focus spot" for the Ravens and the Jags have no pressure. Could be a classic backdoor game.

Hope you get a good start tomorrow. I accepted the request. It was a classic letdown game for Schalke. We struggle against well defending teams that cover deep in their territory. At the half Cologne had no single shot on the goal. The Höwedes made two mistakes and Cologne was up 2-0. Schalke just couldn't find ways to finish. Cologne have earned that win.
