The 2 Squarest Bettors I Know THREAD

Question

So, I made this thread to test out this "system." I have two friends that are absolutely, without a doubt, the squarest bettors I have ever met. This thread will be to merely track them. I am not betting these picks because I handicap my own games, but I just want to see how badly they do. Consider it like the Fade Friend thread, but with two guys instead of one. I will keep track of both of their selections and then a year to date if they choose any of the same games. I would advise to not bet on any of the games that I write on here because they think highly of these bets and are terrible at picking games. The names are made up, but the selections are real. The names will be G-Unit and Double J. G-Unit has told me his picks. Waiting on Double J. Hopefully he gets back to me before the games on Sunday. There is no way these guys pick over 40% winners, in my opinion. God speed if you agree with their selections.

I try to implement the same strategy from time to time, as I do reconsider picks if all my friends are on it because I know they are doing zero research and don't even have an angle for their play besides the 49ers are really good and the Lions sucks. Sure it works sometimes, but we all know if you bet the same team all year your not going to be coming out ahead too often as things tend to even out over time. I would appreciate if you dropped some betting knowledge in my thread because you seem to have some team rules you follow or betting rules u follow. Keep up the good work.

This goes on every year. In the long run, it is probably a winning strategy, but just don't expect to hit every week obviously.

I don't think this week in particular is that great.

I really like the Browns to cover and probably win SU in this one. Minnesota's defense is god awful, and their defense is solid all the way around.

There are a lot of enticing lines this week, so I'm surprised your square friends aren't playing them. The 3 obvious are the Giants, Texans, and Steelers. Keep in mind Baltimore is great at home, yet still are getting points. Also keep in mind that the Panthers had the Giants beat the last time they played, but Eli threw 3 late TDs to cover that one.

The Jets/Bills game really doesn't have an obvious pick. Also, the Packers and the Falcons are both giving points on the road against teams that are hot.

The Patriots are only giving 8 at home to a Tampa team with issues. The Saints line has gone up, but opened at 7. Look for a teaser buster in those. One of those teams might be in trouble.

I guess I am a square because I like the Vikings. Grabbed the line at -5.5.

I don't understand how you could bet on the Browns to win. Weeden is injured, which means B. Hoyer will be starting, or J. Campbell plays. The Browns just traded T. Richardson.

So a mediocre team to start, just lost its starting qb and rb. Ponder isn't great, but he's better than the Brown's backups. And Adrian Peterson is the best running back in the league. And this is the Vikings home opener.

The only thing the Browns have going for them is a defensive advantage.

But, I don't think a team that can't pass or run will put up enough points to win.

And the oddsmakers are aware that everyone--literally everyone--has come to the same logical conclusion that you have based on the facts that you have outlined.  Yet they set the line at 5.5 and it hasn&#x27;t really moved.  Does that not concern you?

Dude the line opened up at 4.5 and went to 6.5 when weeden was ruled out and richardson was traded. The ravens barely covered last week in a divisional rivalry that honestly made a statement that both teams are not that good and the ravens are not the same team they were last year obviously. It's a vikes or no play us square bettors don't over think these things like you cool sharp guys do

now u all got me scared of what would have been my most confident square pick of the weak aside from TB + 8 vikings cover 24-14 and if they don't it's by a half a point 24-17 and that's giving browns the benefit of the doubt.

THIS IS A "GREAT THREAD" PAPA!....I hope you continue it throughout the season.....Results would be very, very interesting!!....To another poster here, The "Steelers" are NOT obvious!....I have done the same thing as you with 2 friends, BUT THEY CAUGHT ON....LOL!!!!....Then they started reversing their picks, mixing them etc....Gotta make sure they don&#x27;t know that you&#x27;re going opposite....Again, thank you for the trip to the BAHAMAS....UNLIMITED GOLD AND "NOOKY!"....Always my best to PAPA SHANGOTANGO!!....R U DOING THE SAME IN COLLEGE??
