Yes, the Dallas Cowboys can still make the playoffs.

I placed a few bucks on Cowboys to win the SB at 90-1 on Saturday. Will add a few more this week. You can call me crazy but I like the value. It's more of a fun bet so I can't blame myself if they don't make it. IF they make the playoffs, they will be one of the best teams in the post-season and there will be some decent hedging opportunities. The bet could be over next week, but I like this incredible value.

All their remaining seven games are winnable as they match up very well with Tony Romo healthy. Also I believe they will finally open the playbook, not like in the first two games vs. NYG and PHI.

The Eagles will be without Sam Bradford for several games.

The Cowboys can control the Redskins by themselves - two games ahead and still two games against the Redskins.

The Giants have a tough schedule from an X's and O's standpoint, can see them losing 3 of their next 4. Then Vikings and Philly with probably Sam Bradford back.


Opinions? Please some serious ones.

Will be a nice bet as long as they don't face the Panthers in the playoffs.. and even if they do manage to get to the Super Bowl the Patriots will kill the Cowboys again like they did earlier well maybe not another blowout but perhaps somewhat closer and Romo will choke in the final minutes..

Romo 2-0 to start the season although he got hurt vs Philly but he started that game. NFC East is always a trip because it seems like it comes down to the the last week to decide the divisional winner. I like them next week @ Miami, then the following they host Carolina on Thanksgiving....could that be the time when Carolina finally loses? Tony and the Boys will be pumped for that one. 

Getting back to the predictions, it's certainly a great value wager if they can muster a spot in the playoffs. Kinda like buying very cheap, low risk, high-reward type deal. If they lose to Miami, it will certainly make it a greater challenge. However, I think the max they can afford to lose from here on out with a realistic chance is to lose no more than 2 games the rest of the year.....which means they can't drop their record below 7-9 at BEST!

I get your point but remember: the Cowboys' defense almost shut the Patriots down in the first half. I think it was the worst half the Patriots have had all season long. With Tony Romo, the Cowboys would probably have won that game. It changes the whole dynamic when they can keep drives alive.

What a story would that be: the undefeated current Super Bowl champs play the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl after an epic comeback, making the playoffs after being 2-7. I couldn't imagine a better Super Bowl for the NFL Marketing department.

Actually true, but by investing a few EUR I've got a shot at donating even more in February

I would go as far to say they shouldn't lose more than one game. A win at Miami would set up a great Thanksgiving game!

I don't hear Jim Mora here. The Cowboys have lost a series of close games. Largely due to crap QB play. Theoretically that's resolved next week. It's definitely a long shot but they definitely have a shot in the NFC East. Every team in that division is garbage.

Tony Romo is not a savior, but 90/1 is...if there's a will; there's always a way "it ain't over till it's over" Cowboys chances of making the playoffs 21%.........and a miracle! GL suuma, actually the wager has supreme value, and merits an interest for Dallas to win-out.. hmmmm, I think I'll put $10 on the Cowboys myself now that you brought this to the attention of the forum, some added prop action to follow..

Completely agree with Suuma here.  If you go look at schedule and standings in NFC east, it is still possible that cowboys win the division. As crazy as it sounds. 

I started a thread about this a couple weeks back. I thought that they'd have to win at least one game over the past two to have a shot.  But with Philly losing Bradford and NYG losing, wide open.

Dallas's Offensive and defensive line is of championship quality. I'll go out and say this knowing I'll take heat with this statement, but here goes. "Dallas is quite possibly the best team in NFC with Romo at QB" You'll see it in the odds Thanksgiving. Dallas will be favored over Carolina.

My Eagles suck and cant take a division being served on a silver plater. However dont sleep on Sanchize. We all know he sucks monkey CK but he loves Chips system and once he gets his rythym and timing down and takes all the first team during practice he will be able to move this team up and down the field. Just has to be smart with the football and not force thows like he did on on sunday in the endzone

Agreed, Sanchez did look serviceable in his starts last year, and it shouldn't be much of a downgrade with him playing over Bradford. But the bottom line here is that every team has question marks in that division...... All four teams still have a legitimate shot at division.  Dallas I'm the worst spot, and that's why were getting them at 100-1.

Funny but true, stranger things have happened in the NFL.  And you hit on a solid point, when a key player has been out for s bit it changes the mojo, motivation, dynamics, drive, chemistry, or whatever in the team as a whole.  I do not think Mr. Romo is the second coming but I do think it will make a big change (until he gets hit again) in The Cowboys.

Wit Romo back I can see DAL going on a nice long winning streak to push for the playoffs, NYG, PHI, WAS all did not pull way ahead of the NFC east and they will now have to pay for it.

It's amazing to see just how much Tony Romo makes or breaks that team. Can't even win a game without him. Hopefully all the idiots who have talked down about how bad Tony Romo is constantly through the years will realize the truth

Pretty sure the Giants proved they are the Class of the east last night even though they clearly blew the win. Stupid kick return really changed that game and then obviously the last 2 mins. Granted they do have a tough schedule coming up, but please at least pay some respects to the big blue. It's a hell of a road back for Dallas but good luck boys. Suuma you still think Jets would pound the Giants? Hahahah I don't think so buddy.

LOL..I think giants will win the nfl east...Cowboys will JUST miss it. But I do not doubt they will go on a run soon. I actually see them losing to the Packers but..it just takes one or two games to fck it up. Very small room for error. Also, someone mentioned that giants are getting players back. I can see giants making it barely. They have lost multiple close games against very good teams. Eagles will implode but sanchez will have his.moments. Skins are too volatile and they can't win away games. This is a huge long shot. Cowboys must be perfect from here on out..
