I have a side on this game that I am confident and and I will be hammering it.
Now is the time to strike because the line is moving in our favor big time.
The pick in this game is the BILLS +1.5/+2!
Why?
1. First off, let's deal with the short term memory of the betting public.
Who did the Bills play the last time out? The Steelers. The public thinks the Steelers are bad. They are right, they are. The problem with this game for the Bills is that Pitt. was coming off a beating that was UNPRECEDENTED in Steelers history. They gave up a mind-boggling 55 points to the Pats. It was a HUGE bounceback game for the Steelers at home to regain some morsel of pride and save hides of coaches and personnel.
But what happened the game prior to that one? Vegas and many posters here had so much respect for the Bills, we were confidently backing them as 4 point dogs to the 8-0 Chiefs at home.
What happened in that game for the Bills to lose it by ten? TURNOVERS. 3 TO's for Buffalo to 0 for KC. Everyone saw the Bills driving for the winning or tying score down 3 and Jeff Tuel threw the game and the cover away, literally. They out gained KC 470 to 210 and on paper, looked like they won if you didnt see the score. Remember that everyone here was backing the Bills at home not even knowing the QB of the Bills mid-week!
Why? The Bills are a rock solid pick and a tough out at home, all the way up to an undefeated team.
Now the Bills are +1.5 and even +2 vs. the Jets and were max +4 vs. the Chiefs WITH Jeff Tuel! Now the Bills have their true QB and the line only moves down 2.5 to 2 points for the Jets?
Folks, you get EJ today and you get the Jets instead of Teul vs. the Chiefs and you were backing the Bills in the latter spot (and it should have cashed). You know who you should back in that switch. It is without question, the Bills.
But there's more!
2. What does the public remember about the Jets? They beat the biggest public betting darling going, the Saints outright, at home!
GREAT WIN. Can't deny it.
But what did we see in that game to give the Jets the ultimate motivation to perform?
Rex vs. Rob - Rex had this game circled from day one and with the pitiful performance in Cincy losing 49-9 the prior week, the Jets, like Pitt vs. Buffalo last week, were not gonna come out and be embarrassed!
Two: Chris Ivory went up against his former team and burned them bad. He ran for a career high 139 yard with a 7.7 avg!!! Guys, who can win a game on offense when your D gives up those kind of numbers, even with Drew Bree's and company???
So here we have the public this week LOVING THE JETS because they beat the public darlings and HATING the BILLS because they lost to the woeful Steelers and this game opened in some places at -2 Bills! Folks, the squares have a side here and it's not the Bills and this line has move 4 points in some places.
You get a short home dog who is rock solid at home. Take the BILLS and the points. Side with the books who have exposure in the Bills today.
BUT THERE'S MORE:
3. Jets are zig and zag.
Look at their record WLWLWLWLW. Here comes the loss. Why? They are not properly motivated or coached. Young QB plus low season long expectations make for a bad mix if you are looking for consistency.
BUT THERE'S MORE
4. Jets are coming off a bye.
If you are backing the Bills, good!
Bills lost to the awful Steelers and are coming home with their true starter. They will show up.
Jets record off a bye under Rex? 1-3 SU and 1-3 ATS. Small sample but this isn't Andy Reid here off a bye, that's for sure. You would think the Jets would be wary of this but it was reported this week the Jets had no changes to their practice schedule compared to previous weeks.
Jeff Cumberland was quoted as saying "It feels like a normal practice week to me, nothing different."
Know what that means? No pep in the step after the big Saints win. Take the Bills.
LASTLY,
5. Where are the quality wins on the road for Geno Smith?
He beat one team on a last second FG: the Falcons. Folks, the Falcons weren't known to be at the time, but they are one of the worst teams in the NFL (a pickum against TB today).
Geno's other road games? Loss at NE with 3 int's in the 4th and the 49-9 drubbing in Cincy with pick 6's to boot.
Now he goes to a tough Bills venue vs. a legit starter looking for a bounceback win and one that should have beat the undefeated Cheifs.
That's all for now. Hope this all helps.
TAKE THE BILLS +1.5 and +2 if you can get it!!!

all of these are valid points but........the jets are great at stopping the run.. and who is ej gonna throw to since both woods and Johnson are out?
My Steelers didn't have a tough time running on these Jets and I don't need to remind you that our running game is nothing to brag about. With CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson I think they will pound the rock all game long and tire this Jets defense. They did a pretty good job of running against the Chiefs. I look for the same outcome.
