The Jets WILL Beat the Chargers

here's the thing. The people that know football know that the Jets will cover 9 points and may very well win the game. This is a FG game. The guys that haven't a clue about football that just take things as face value (Chargers on a hot streak, far better team) will just give their money away to the books..

The Chargers are NOT that good. They are up against a team thats got to the playoffs from 4-6. That was given a second chance by the Colts. They will run with that chance. Will the Jets win the Superbowl? Doubtful. But no one will blow them out.

Chargers have Philip Rivers and Vincent Jackson as there main weapons. VJ will be shut down by Darell Revis. That leaves Antonio Gates and Malcolm Floyd. I think the Jets will key on Gates but I expect Floyd to have a monster game.

LT has been deceiving. Yes he is racking up the scores but NOT the yardage. I think the Jets D will keep San Diego relatively in check. Odd to the fact San Diego can't stop the run and the Jets have a awesome run attack I expect this game to go right down to the wire..

Norv Turner or San Diego in the playoffs. Up against one of the hottest teams in football. Lol will people ever learn..

If you can get Jets plus 9 its the play of the season. They have a GREAT chance of winning.......

If you look at the the teams the Chargers have beaten in their 11 game winning streak, it's not really that impressive.

About half of that streak was against dreck. They beat KC twice.  They beat Oakland, Cleveland, and Washington.

The beat the Giants.  The Giants were 3-8 in their last 11 games.  The Chargers beat them during this time.

They beat the Broncos.  The Broncos were 2-8 in their last 10 games.  The Chargers beat them during that time.

They beat the Titans, who's season was pretty much over at the time of the game.  All the Titans were worried about was Chris Johnson's stats.

They beat Philly at home.  A few weeks earlier, the Eagles flew across country and lost the Raiders.

They beat the Bengals at home when the Bengals were starting to flounder at the end of the season.  The Chargers won this game on a last second FG.  The 24 points the Bengals scored in this game were the most points they scored in their last 10 games of the season.

Which brings us to the only game left on the streak.  They beat Dallas on the road.  Granted, they beat them while the "December Demons" were still haunting the Cowboys but, nonetheless, this is really the only impressive win of the whole streak.

Now I'm not saying the Jets will definitely win this game, but they certainly have a better chance than most people think.  You'd think the way most people are talking about this game, both media and the fans, that the Jets should not even get on the plane and just forfeit the game.  It's just ridiculous.

Personally I don't think this game will be close.  Not one team has been able to stop the Chargers the last 11 games and now the Jets are going to fly across the country and shut them down? 

Revis can only cover one guy and the Chargers have way too many weapons to be completely stopped.  Once the Jets fall behind Sanchez will be forced to throw it around the yard which means two things.  More drops by Edwards and at least 2 prob 3 interceptions by the turnover machine Sanchez.

No answer for Gates, Chargers roll 31-13.  Curtains for delusional Jets fans!

Very simply...Jets will have no one to cover Gates across the middle at his size..Vincent Jackson might and I said MIGHT struggle a little, but they will have Sproles coming from the backfield open in the flat all day...San Diego is going to light up the scoreboard against this "STRONG PASS/RUN D"....

Anyone that bets on the Jets to beat the Chargers already knows the reason why.
